  • Its only OK

by westchester on 2/5/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

We were underwhelmed by the show. The acting was very good. The story and dialogue somewhat sophomoric and in line with Family Guy humor. The dancing was not anything to rave about. Sorry underwhelmed.

    by Barb E on 2/3/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

we saw the play on Friday night. It’s Monday and we’re still laughing!!! BRILLIANT, funny and totally inappropriate... if you get offended easily, do not even think of going.

  • Great funny show

    by pjp5175 on 1/30/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I had no idea what to expect from this show other than it had been around for quite a while and was said to be funny. A very definite yes to it being very funny, A bit irreverent but very funny and makes you think. We loved it!

  • Blasphemous

    by M&S on 1/29/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

Great play, good actors, nice music, but many bad words and full of blasphemy. Don’t bring you f kids to watch it; cover your ears for some of the horrible things the actors say against God or do with sexual items.

  • Disappointing

  • A MUST SEE

    by Ashes311 on 1/29/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about the show and experience was amazing. The show, of course, was hysterical. I did see waaaay to many young children there for the show. The show is amazing, but wildly inappropriate for children. Also would have enjoyed a larger selection of souvenirs as well. Other than that, outstanding!

  • Hilarious

by Willieinma on 1/26/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The show is ingenious, the actors wonderful, the singing and dancing delightful. It is profane, irreverent, foul-mouthed, and politically incorrect--all of which makes it almost irresistible. One complaint: the seats are made for dwarfs and children. If the intermission hadn't come when it did I'm not sure I could have walked again. I had an aisle seat which allowed me to stick one leg into the aisle, not very comfortably, but the other leg was stuck against the back of the seat in front of me and was completely immobilized. Basic economy seats on airplanes are much more generous than most seats in this theatre. The show's great but be prepared to be cramped for a couple of hours.

  • Great Experience

by Norm on 1/25/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The performances were exceptional, the story is entertaining, and the overall experience was great. The theatre is not big so you feel more personal connection to the performers. I was impressed at how quickly we went through security and how fast we got out. The ushers were great and moved the crows swiftly.

  • Best show ever!

by Rich on 1/22/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was so good that the 2 hr performance felt like it was 10 mins long. Funny, engaging and unforgettable.

  • Great show

It was a very entertaining and funny show! I highly recommend this show for anyone who likes a great show.

  • Humour by Scalpel and Sledgehammer

    by JMH22102 on 1/22/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

There were times that this production offered the clever humour and lines that earned it the positive reviews it received. However, at other times it degenerated into witless and grotesque songs and dialogue that were humourless and ineffectual. Unfortunately, the creators decided to utilize ineffectual shock jock humour rather than their demonstrable talent in these scenes.

  • That Was Something Different

by Tim on 1/22/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Spent many years seeing the commercials and hearing a buzz. Finally went to see why this play is so successful. A unique story unlike any other ever put on Broadway. Yes, there is some fun poking at the Mormons but and there are some sacrilegious statements made that I would never dare utter but the play brings some things to light in a comedic way. In the end it all comes together with a positive message. There is more than one path to God.

  • Not a fan...

by Steve East on 1/20/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

I thought the storyline was stupid, however the singing and acting was fine. The venue was also nice.

  • Seating and show were great

by Graz on 1/16/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

We bought tickets online. I didn’t like the fact we had to print tickets out. The drink pricing was outrageous too. The show was excellent.

  • Awesome show

    by V. on 1/15/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Best musical I've ever seen. Theatre nice and intimate.

  • A laugh riot!

by billyboy on 1/15/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Still as funny as ever! Having seen it when it first opened and coming back years later it's still irreverent, hysterical and poignant! A true test of time! My 75 year old Aunt wanted to see it in the worst way and none of her friends wanted to go! So I took her and we had the best time! This is the same Aunt who took me to my first Broadway show Grease back in the 70's! It was a great time!

  • Incredibly funny and impressive

by Sam on 1/14/20Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Very impressed by this show. The jokes all landed and were dirty but didn't push any boundaries too much, but a little. The voices, music, and surprise costume changes were so well done.

  • A MUST-SEE!!!

HANDS down THE funniest (and best) musical I’ve ever seen! Witty writing and songwriting! Will watch over and over!
