Live on Broadway, the New York Times calls it "the best musical of the century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show calls it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal." It's The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award®-winning Best Musical. See it on Broadway today!
My whole family continues to talk about how funny this show was! We had such an amazing time!
no complaints better than most shows - fun and laughs - a little silly but hat was the point
Enjoyed every second. Lots of laughs, witty dialogue and lyrics. So glad we finally got to see Book of Mormon!
Simply put... Outstanding!!! From start to finish it kept you laughing
Absolutely hysterical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great show- amazing talent. Second time seeing it!
I laughed so much and I have recommended this show to all my friends. The cast is truly talented & the writing is phenomenal!
Amazing show.........................................
The show is a hoot. Very funny, although the devoutly religious might not find it so. But who cares about them anyway. Definitely not for youngsters, as the language is blue, as are some of the plot devises. Acting, singing, and dancing top Broadway quality even though the show has had quite a long run. Nobody phoning it in. Go see it!!!
The show was so good! All of the actors were incredible and so talented! The two leads even reminded me of the OBC. I can’t wait to see this show again!!
We absolutely loved this musical. If you get offended easily then go see Frozen. This musical castigates the norm and dissects the trilogy known as the Book of Mormon. It makes it even more real to life when your Mormon friend has a son that spent time in Africa.
This play was totally unexpected. We couldn’t stop laughing.
The show was funny and shocking! I did my research so had an idea of the storyline but it was way more antimormon than I expected. You must have a very open mind to enjoy the show. It definitely was funny. The acting, singing and dancing were awesome! In the end, the show was great and would highly recommend it to the right people!
An absolutely entertaining and funny show! Difficult issues are handled in a manner that can be 'discussed' openly without shocking the audience..the absurdity of the religious 'isms' is made manifest.
Very, very, very clever. But, ok, guys, we get that you think organized religion is hypocritical and that there is lots of repression and denial involved, but you made that point within the first 20 minutes. All the penises and "humping" and f-bombs did not add anything to that message. Yeah, there is value in pursuing an "in your face" confrontation of the issues, but only up to a point. After that, being hit on the head with four-letter words is just desperate on your part and boring on our part. If you could ratchet down the crap by about 25%, you would have had us whole heartedly. The cast was fantastic, voices superb and choreography outstanding. HIgh energy saved the show as far as we were concerned. Had it not been for that, we probably would have walked out. Definitely a mixed bag, but ultimately the concept kept us engaged and would recommend but with an advisory.
The play, Book of Mormon, was horrible. The play was terribly vulgar. The shock factor was used simply to gather attention. While I do not mind paying for quality, this was worthless garbage.
I had heard so much about this show I probably expected too much. I thought I'd be laughing until I was crying. I laughed, but not quite as hard as the guy sitting next to me. Well acted, well sung and an all around good time.
Highly recommend this show! I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard. Great writing and great performances by an excellent cast (particularly Elder Cunningham and Elder McKinley). Not, however, for the easily offended or faint of heart. Check your sensitivity at the door and prepare to be entertained, "South Park" style.
Very funny but could be taken offensiveky by some.
The Book of Mormon was hilarious but not for those that are easily offended - especially if you are very religious. The cast was awesome and music was great. Theater is beautiful but seating is tight!
