Live on Broadway, the New York Times calls it "the best musical of the century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show calls it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal." It's The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award®-winning Best Musical. See it on Broadway today!
This musical was great!!! HOWEVER, it is NOT for children or those who are easily offended.
Energetic, young artists steal the show. Fast paced,
Not for the easily offended, but truly hilarious for the rest of us.
It was incredible! Great singing, acting and dancing. I would definently recommend it. I'd see it again!
This is my second time seeing The Book of Mormon and it was just as funny as the first time I saw it. I wanted to share my experience with my sister and best friend and they loved it too! I'd see it again and again in a heartbeat!
I was excited to finally get tickets to this long-running show...and the price wasn't cheap. Unfortunately, I didn't love it like I've loved other broadway shows; I've seen A LOT of them. Perhaps, I just hyped it too much in my head and the reality never would have matched up. I made friends with a couple sitting in front of me and they had the same complaints I did. No matter where you sit in this theater, it's impossible to see the stage clearly. Even a short person sitting in front of you, blocks the view. The seats were incredibly uncomfortable and the show was just sort of "meh" rather than a clear winner/loser. Glad I finally saw it so I can cross it off the list but, I won't be recommending it or the theater to anyone any time soon.
The Book of Mormon was the best musical I have seen so far. The characters are phenomenal in their role. Will definitely recommend to other. FYI my husband has been waiting for year to see that show and he finally did and he his beyond trilled. Keep the good work going.
Within the first few seconds of the opening scene, a grin spread across my face and barely left until the final bow. The show is pure entertainment - witty, sparkling, and breathlessly energetic. Smart takes on other shows added humor and dimension to an already hilariously told and subtly profound story. Costumes (and unexpected lightning fast costume changes) were extraordinary; the choreography inventive and FUN. Studded with songs with clever lyrics and catchy tunes, sung by top notch talent who in some other venue would do harmonic justice to madrigals. At one point in the show I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes-that moment alone was worth the ticket price.
Laughed every second of it! Absolutely loved it, very recommended!
I've wanted to see this play since before it won the Tony in 2012. The laughter in the audience was mixed because of the poor audio quality and rapid pace of speaking. Should consider subtitling since a lot of the lines were not clearly audible. On the positive side, this play is more relevant today than it was in 2012 in terms of the lessons in life it demonstrates.
I very familiar with the writers of the play, however I did not expect to be laughing and talking about this play weeks after. Both the score and the story were awesome and complimented each other. As I'm writing this I can still hear the echoes of Hasa Diga. This play is not for those who have humor limitations.
The funniest most entertaining show I have seen in a long time. I laughed all the way through and enjoyed every minute. I would definitely say this is a must see show!
Got my fiancé tickets to Book of Mormon for our anniversary. We had wanted to see the show for some time: it completely matched our expectations! I laughed for hours! Talented cast. Gorgeous theatre. Not for the faint of heart! Created by the people who made South Park, this show mocks all races, sexual orientations, and—of course—religions. Four shining stars!
Everything was an absolute blast! From the theatre with its beautiful decor and the atmosphere within it. Where do you even begin with the show? It’s unapologetically hilarious, catchy, and performed to perfection.
This an amazing show! WE LOVED IT! Great music, great story and great acticing. If you are not familiar you should be aware that it is not a family show. There are several scenes that are quite risqué.
We enjoyed the show but the theater seats were very tight and uncomfortable.
Good play very entertaining laughed the whole show
I was blown away by how wickedly funny this show was. It is entertainment at its best. Everyone should see it. If you are bringing kids, it is a vulgar show. So kids 13 and up should see with parents. I brought my 11 yo to this, and he thought it was hilarious. I had to explain everything to him in context.
The show was soooo funny! Great cast, impecable timing, great jokes and songs! Truly a memorable and worthwhile experience!
The show was irreverent, offensive to all groups, but so much fun! (We're very open-minded.)
