  • Worth the wait

This show has been around for a decade, but I finally got around to seeing it (surprising since I'm such a big South Park fan). It was more raunchy than I even thought it was going to be, but really funny and with terrific musical numbers (and so many of them). The only drawback were the tight seats (I'm about 6-3, 300 and it was a challenge). But the show is so engrossing, you forget any discomfort.

I liked the show, my seat and the enthusiasm of the audience.

  • Loved the show.

The show is raunchy adult humor. A lot of the material is R-rated. Some of it could even be considered X-rated. The creator of the show is also the creator of Family Guy. If you know his humor you know what to expect. The show was educational, hilarious and entertaining.

  • Fun at every turn.

This was the third time I saw the show and by far the best. Most of the cast was different and I saw an understudy or two. They were excellent.

  • Shock to the System

by J in DC on 8/17/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Shocking on so many levels. Definitely a show for mature audiences. There is no boundaries the show doesn’t cross. All the same, it is one of those shows you need to see.

  • Absolutely Hilarious

Wildly inappropriate, but in a good way. I laughed so hard I got a headache!

  • Great show! Perhaps a tad vulgar at places.

Wonderful performance. Not sure every single sexual joke is necessary but overall a terrific show with an important message.

  • Amazing

  • First Broadway show in 22 years

by Tiffers on 8/13/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I took my niece for graduation. I generally dislike musicals but this one was funny and entertaining. I loved the theater. It was not too big and you could see everything clearly. Getting through restrooms, intermission, and leaving were incredibly well coordinated. I see a lot of performances in dc and Richmond that could benefit from their methods.

  • Book of Mormon

    by Mrs.Mayer on 8/13/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was great. The acting was suberb! I loved it. I laughed the entire time just about! The lead actors are phenomenal. I love how they transitioned the outfits to the different stage sets. It wasn’t as rouchy as I was expecting it to be. Loved it!

  • Never laughed so hard!

    by Kristin S. on 8/10/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Book of Mormon was hysterical! Great singing and dancing combined with sharp political and religious satire. Pokes fun at the Mormons but like “South Park” everyone gets mocked (they are not against any specific group) and the point is to show a deeper meaning/lesson. I have never laughed so hard! Great show!!

  • Great, must see show on Broadway - if you like adult humor

by Clint on 8/10/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

As a fan of South Park, this show had all the funny and irreverant references that one would expect. The cast and production do a fantastic job throughout the show of keeping the audience engaged and laughing. Highly recommend this show.

  • Awesome Musical

Love the cast! So nice! Had us laughing the whole time! Great musical! Would see it several more times. Don’t change a thing!

  • Hilarity on B'way!

by ndv on 8/7/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Hysterical show. Haven't laughed this much in years! Highly recommended. And in a beautiful theatre, where there are no bad seats. Don't miss!

  • Very pleased!

by Kaitlyn on 8/6/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Thanks to many positive recommendations from friends, I decided to see the show. Growing up in an area with the second largest Mormon population, I have a pretty good basis of what they're about. I did not however, know fully what to expect with this show. What little I knew was blown out of the water. The show was funnier and far more clever than anticipated. Extremely satisfied with our choice of seeing Book of Mormon. The only negative thing I have to say is that the theater rows are very close together and at least on the lower level, they were not at enough of a decline that the persons head in front of you wasn't in your way. I was fortunate enough to sit behind a tall woman who couldn't sit still. That being said, that was not enough to influence how I felt about the show.

  • NY Matinee

    by k. c. on 8/6/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Theater isn’t in great shape, but extremely small so every seat in the place is great. As for the play, it was done well. Story was a great idea, but expected it to be jaw dropping and that it wasn’t. Still a great play to see and had it’s funny parts.

I took my daughter for her 16th birthday and although there is some saucy language, the show was incredible. We laughed the entire show! The actors/actresses were beyond talented and the music was fabulous! Loved every minute!!

  • Absolutely amazing

  • Get ready to laugh until your belly hurts

by PCintheBigD on 7/30/19Eugene O'Neill Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This is my second time to see BoM and it was just as good the second time. If you are highly religious and offend easily, you may not enjoy this musical. I personally found it hilarious and would go again! Great NYC theater too. A classic.
