The Black Angels in Hell
by dunc7066 on 4/3/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Outstanding show. The Suuns were pretty interesting too. Can't wait to see them again. Glad they played more songs from Passover and Directions.
Masquerghey vs the Earl...
by Anonymous on 4/3/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5We have seen this band twice at The Earl and it was amazing both times. Things moved at a steady pace and the sound was incredible! As opposed to at the Masquerade where we waited in 3 separate lines to get into the venue. Three bands played this night and it took over 30 minutes between each band to set up and sound check. As The Black Angels preformed it was obvious that they were having difficulties with the sound. Also, the crowd that seems to attend the Masquerade shows act very immature. It affects the vibe of the show greatly when some in attendance do not seem to be there for the music or care to respect anyone who is. Overall worth going because The Black Angels are a great band but would have rather seem them in another venue.
Awesome to the Max!

Overcasters and The Black Angels are Magick
by ester on 12/9/10Bluebird Theater - DenverRating: 5 out of 5This show was mind blowing. I'm usually bored during the opening band, but not this time. Overcasters should be big. Go see them. They played music that I've been waiting to hear a long time. The Black Angels took me to a different dimension. It's difficult to really describe the experience to someone who wasn't there. It was like going back in time and into the future simultaneously.
