They have some skills. Interacted well with the audience.

  • Pretty Awesome!

Not going to a "heavy" metal show was pretty out of the ordinary for me! It was a really good time regardless of some of the lame fans. :)

  • The Black Angels rocked, Suuns not so much

    by BenB2010 on 4/21/11Magic Stick - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Well, the Black Angels were amazing as expected although they did appear a little road weary and tired, but none of their fatigue showed through in their show. Suuns on the other hand sucked. Its not that the music was bad, because it wasn't. Their front man's stage presence reminded me of a wounded spineless animal mewling into the microphone. I couldn't understand the lyrics and he looked like he was suffering a stroke.Sister of Your Sunshine Vapor on the other hand really surprised me with excellent music and an impressive show. Rock and Roll is still alive in Detroit.

Best show I've been to in years. These guys are my new favorite living band.

The show was everything I hoped it would be. They sounded great...just like the cd. I would definitely recommend any black angel fan to see this show.

This was the best concert I have ever been too. It was crazy loud (I wish I had worn earplugs), but the bombastic sound of The Black Angels carried me away to such an extent that it seemed like they had only begun playing by the time we in the audience were all cheering for an encore. A truly unforgettable night. The opening act Suuns were truly disappointing (I had high hopes that were not met).

This was my first time at the Magic Stick or the Majestic in general. Really cool place. I hadn't listened to The Black Angels before the show but I just dove right in. I was pretty high and the members of the band before them all made funny faces. That was entertaining. I was up front and loved feeling the music in my body. But then again the music was so loud it was kind of all droning together. Good experience though. I got what I paid for.

  • Listen To The Black Angels

    by Terrie22737 on 4/16/11Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Black Angels are one of the best live bands around. This show was perfection - an evening of sonic excellence all around. The opening band, Suuns were a good billing match and sounded wonderful. You just can't beat the atmosphere the Angels create onstage. Seriously - Listen To The Black Angels!!!!

great show as always apart from it being REALLY loud. the PA was cranked up so much that you could not even understand the singer when he was speaking in between songs.

Such a great show. The music was phenominal. I will go see them any chance I get from now on. If you LOVE music and you like it loud...The Black Angels are a must see.

  • They're great

by FeverLogic on 4/11/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

It's really good to see them headlining, last time I saw them they were opening for another band that wasn't nearly as good as they are! I have no complaints, they rocked The Bowery, it was a great night.

  • Black Angels - Bowery Ballroom

by frontingbravery on 4/10/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 2 out of 5

What could have been a great show was diluted by the exaggerated decibel levels. It was just too damn loud and I'm not too old.

  • Alex Rocked the House!!!

by JoeiJenkins on 4/8/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

OMG this was my 1st time seeing The Black Angels. I was so stoked. They were incredible. I was as close as you could possibly be. Alex was amazing. He is so talented. The setlist was great. I danced like a crazy person. I would see them many many many more times.

  • Simply awesome performance

A buddy of mine convinced me to go to the show and I'm so glad he did. Their show was fantastic and their sound was perfect for a small live venue. I bought their last two albums after the show and listening to the CDs was like being back at the concert. Great retro sound!
