About

FUZZ IN CONCERT:

One of Ty Segall’s most interesting side projects, Fuzz delivers sludgy metal riffs that are sure to please rockers of all stripes in concert. The group's dark sound is enhanced by fuzz-driven guitar, thunderous bass, and drums that dole out limitless sonic attacks. In addition to handling guitar duties, Ty reveals that he’s a beast behind the drum kit, occasionally taking the kit to pound out killer beats and impressive fills. He still sings, but forsakes his usual tone in favor of Ozzy Osbourne-inspired howling. Ticket buyers looking for good old fashioned headbanging should be sure to see Fuzz any time they bring their sonic savagery on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Ty Segall started out by playing in various San Francisco and Orange County garage and punk bands before starting a solo career in 2008. Since his self-titled debut, he's released at least one album every year, and has  collaborated with White Fence, Mikal Cronin, Thee Oh Sees, Sic Alps, and Epsilons on several others. As his solo albums drifted more toward optimistic psych and surf rock, he needed an outlet for his love of proto-metal bands like Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, and Mountain, and in 2011 Fuzz was formed. The group began as a jam between Segall and guitarist Charles Moothart, and bassist Roland Cosio joined soon after. Following a series of independently released singles, the group put out their 2013 self-titled debut. Chad Ubovich took over on bass as the group announced the 2015 release of the critically acclaimed album II. Fuzz continues to wow fans in concerts as they share their creative take on metal.

Where do I begin?! Amazing! Absolutely amazing! It’s been 4 days since the show and I’m still in awe. Ty Segall, Charles Moothart, and Roland Cosio are pure musical geniuses.

These guys rock so hard, Fuzz is a must-see show. The first band Walter was kick-ass too. The second local NY band "The Men".... eh, would've rather Walter was on second.
