About

MELODY’S ECHO CHAMBER IN CONCERT:

Atmospheric pop visionaries Melody’s Echo Chamber blend psychedelic textures, shoegazing ambience, and electronic grooves to create a daring and dreamy sound. The band’s mastermind Melody Prochet crafted every rhythmic clang and shimmering chord on the group’s immersive debut, and she transports ticket buyers in concert with her hypnotic coos and echo-drenched melodies. Her backing band supports her wistful vocals with a lush and dense sonic tapestry that layers guitar arpeggios, warbling keyboard stabs, and marching drum fills. As they perform sumptuous masterpieces like “Crystallized”, “You Won’t Be Missing That Part of Me”, and “Some Time Alone, Alone”, Melody’s Echo Chamber create a mood-elevating aural spectacular for blissed-out fans.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born and raised in Puyricard, France, Melody Prochet brings a distinctly Francophonic charm to her psychedelic chamber pop. The multi-instrumentalist and songwriter first gained recognition as the frontwoman of My Bee’s Garden, who opened for the band Tame Impala on their 2010 European tour. While on the road she and Tame Impala founder Kevin Prichard struck up a romantic relationship that segued into a fruitful musical collaboration. The two entered the studio in 2012 to produce the self-titled debut for Prochet’s new project, Melody’s Echo Chamber. The album won praise from taste-making publications like Q Magazine, Drowned in Sound, and Mojo for striking an inspired balance between dreamy pop and psychedelic exploration. Prochet returned in 2014 with the delectable single "Shirim", an appetizer from her as-yet-unfinished second album. While fans wait for more recorded material from Prochet, they can experience the immersive sounds of Melody’s Echo Chamber live in the meantime.

This was my first show in LA at the Fox performing arts center. One of the best shows I have been to in a long time. Melody needs some more recognition for sure. If you go just take a second to look at all the instruments being played. All of the sounds you hear on stage are live so none of that gimmicky stuff people use a lot nowadays. AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
