Sting is a 17-time Grammy-winning artist and a founding member of the pioneering new wave band The Police. Born in Wallsend, England, Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. Sting, became one of the best-selling artists of all-time as the bassist and frontman of The Police. The band released five studio albums and six Top 10 singles, including the Sting-penned No. 1 hit “Every Breath You Take,” before disbanding in 1986. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, and their 2008 reunion tour was the third highest-grossing tour of the ’00s. Since releasing his 1985 solo debut The Dream of the Blue Turtles, Sting has been recognized with a British CBE and an Emmy, featured at the Kennedy Center Honors and inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also received four Oscar nominations, and his 2014 Broadway musical The Last Ship, which was inspired by his childhood and featured music and lyrics by Sting, was nominated for two Tony Awards. A constant experimenter of genres including jazz, pop, classical and world music, Sting won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2019 with Shaggy for their 2018 collaborative album 44/876.

First time seeing STING. What a treat! Joe Sumner (Sting's Son) Band was off the Hook! Joe has a Fantastic Voice! Shane Sager Rocker the Harmonica! Joe's Kids also participated! What a Very Musical Family! Love going to the Hollywood Bowl. No seat is a bad seat. Open air and lights. It was my BF first time there. He was thrilled to have seen Sting Live! He felt the same way I did. What A treat to have Family playing with Sting!
The energy and love of his art is still there. Top notch musicians backing him makes it all so incredible. If you understand music, you will appreciate what Sting has given to the world. I don't know of any other artist that has fused / melded so many genres of music into an expansive library as Sting. From his days with The Police. he has used reggae, pop, jazz, punk, rock, country, world, and glimpses of funk this time around. He does it so seamlessly and so well. It can go under the radar. I love that new artists are discovering him and taking note with their versions. This concert took off and never came down in energy. WOW !!! It was sooo much fun to be a part of. Lots of singing lots of dancing. Totally worth it and beyond expectations.
Great concert 2 hours of continuous great songs Sting’s voice still unique even with loss of highest register!
Sting was charming and engaging. Nice how he included old and new plus variations of his song catalog. The crowd was obviously full of fans. Nice that his son could join him. The timbre of their voices mesh into one.
I was in section N and the sound and stage lighting were great. There were a few pops from the guitars, but I think it was a wireless issue. As usual, they had the Jumbotron screens on either side of the stage. Filming was great, but the overlay of the special effects was not great for those of us in the back of the house. We just want to see the close-ups not a music video.
LOVED Sting...but experience was nearly ruined by a row full of loud drunks behind us. They NEVER shut up, and at times... I could barely hear the lyrics.
Excellent warmup band andSting was amazing!!!! Good security! Facility and restrooms very clean!
Favorite Singer @My Favorite Venue 🤩🥰😍🎶🙌🏻 Hollywood Bowl nestled in Lively and Lovely Hollywood Hills, Makes any Concert Special. Hollywood Bowl offers plenty of ample seating which gives everyone a full view of the stage. Can’t wait to come back and of course use Ticketmaster to purchase my tickets :)
Sting was so strong in every way! His voice was more beautiful than twenty years ago and his arms, wow. Sweet personality and I loved how much he appreciated performing at the iconic Hollywood Bowl. Perfect show and worth every penny- this is talent👏
This was our 3rd time seeing Sting/My Songs tour. Obviously, we are fans and Sting and his band always deliver. Love it!!! That said, the sound system in the arena needs some improvement. The sound appeared muffled at times (we sat across from the stage in section 125) which impacted the lyrics, or what he said. (It seemed even worse for Joe Sumner in the opening). Also, the L/R video screens appeared small for the size of the venue.
Sting didn't need a 65 story screen behind him or any special effects. It was just him, his band and his music. Because that's what we were all there for - the music. He played for 2 solid hours (more than Coldplay did) and it was one song after another including some Police hits. His musicians and backup singers were excellent. He chatted to the audience, giving us insights into backgrounds of songs, inspirations, etc. We all left the concert in great spirits and feeling peaceful.
Being a long time Sting/The Police fan this was a once in a lifetime experience. It felt like such an intimate setting and I loved how much of his entire musical career we were able to hear. My absolute favorite was having Joe come out and sing King of Pain with him.
The ultimate performer and great set list! Love the Garden seats at the bowl. Mix was great and view was outstanding.
What an epic show! I’ve seen Sting at least 5x and this one of his best performances. His voice was strong and crisp. The show featured a number of his hits with The Police. He is a fantastic musician. He did about 24 songs over 2 hours. Looking forward to seeing him again!
one of the best performances I have seen in a Long time, since Friday the 13th, 2022 @ SoFi anyway! Oh yes! in October 2021 at SoFi as well.
It was awesome! I’ve seen Sting in concert 20 years at The Greek Theater Griffith Park, it wasn’t as good as this time. Maybe he was not that popular at the time twenty years ago. This time it was a full house at Hollywood Bowl. I had a blast!
Great concert by Sting and his band. He seems to get better and better.
We loved Sting’s recent concert at the Hollywood Bowl. He is full of energy and sang all of the songs we love. It was also a pleasure to hear his son as the opening group and toward’s the end of Sting’s Concert where he sang with his Dad!! Go Sting!! Keep it going
Absolutely one of the best concerts I have been to at HB. Sting had incredible energy and enthusiasm and the crowd responded. Loved the show—hope he comes back!
