Sting is a 17-time Grammy-winning artist and a founding member of the pioneering new wave band The Police. Born in Wallsend, England, Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. Sting, became one of the best-selling artists of all-time as the bassist and frontman of The Police. The band released five studio albums and six Top 10 singles, including the Sting-penned No. 1 hit “Every Breath You Take,” before disbanding in 1986. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, and their 2008 reunion tour was the third highest-grossing tour of the ’00s. Since releasing his 1985 solo debut The Dream of the Blue Turtles, Sting has been recognized with a British CBE and an Emmy, featured at the Kennedy Center Honors and inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also received four Oscar nominations, and his 2014 Broadway musical The Last Ship, which was inspired by his childhood and featured music and lyrics by Sting, was nominated for two Tony Awards. A constant experimenter of genres including jazz, pop, classical and world music, Sting won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2019 with Shaggy for their 2018 collaborative album 44/876.

Sting should of done more of his own stuff,,not so much of the Police. But the show was good considering.
The concert was AMAZING!! STING was such a great performer and with such on stage charisma it was fantastic. An iconic figure, so humbling on stage....what a great being. My absolute favorite moment was when STING received a note from the audience;he clearly stated he usually does not do which read that it was the birthday of one of his oldest fans in the audience, who turned 87 on the day of the show. Sting sang her a personalized Happy Birthday, and played a song for her. Simply..Unforgetable :)
Once again, Sting put on an excellent show for a packed house at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in CT. With only a "basic" band (including the excellent Dominic Miller on guitar), Sting proved once again that he can play to massive stadiums or smaller venues without losing a step. Great vocals and wide choice of songs... including the old standards like Message in a Bottle and Roxanne, to some that I haven't heard him play in concert for quite some time, like Shape of My Heart. I'd got to see Sting play almost anywhere, but I would definitely go see him at this venue again.
My husband and I are late 50 somethings and we were so thrilled to see STING after all these years. He sounds great, and looks fantastic! The audience, who mostly consisted of people our age, loved him. He is a fantastic musician and we could tell, a really great guy.... it was great.
When an artist does not have an album to sell it is a guarantee to be the best show! Sting proved this last night, just jammin' and playing his heart out. And to have Sting sing Happy Birthday to what is most likely his oldest fan (in the audience) and 89 year old woman was just so much fun. This was my 6th Sting concert and by far it was his best!
In Mezzanine for this show, saw Jackson Browne downstairs a few nights earlier. Very big difference in sound between the 2 areas. I am sure the distance has something to do with it, but I would have expected acoustics to be pretty similar when building a venue like this. Also, ushers very annoying going after what we assumed were people using cell phones for recording or whatever. USHERS WERE MORE ANNOYING THAN THE PATRONS. WENT UP AND DOWN ROWS TO WARN PEOPLE.
The concert should have been a little longer for the price of the tickets. A little more excitment from the audience would have been nice, seemed like most people with good seats were comp seats and didnt really care to be there.
Sting played all his best songs....I just couldn't get enough...I have seen him 10 times and this was by far his BEST show! He is just an amazing musician. The new MGM Grand was a great venue as well...our seats were perfect!
Sting was awesome. Great playlist - mixed it up well.......... and 2 encores . The band was terrific too -esp. guitar player.
Sting showed that he could still rock the house and play "muscle" music with the best of them. He truly is a consummate musician. Able to play classical lute, then switch to a Police tour then back to his solo work. The band was extremely tight and weaved in and out of Police and Sting songs effortlessly. Dominic Miller, David Sancious and Josh Freese sounded like they enjoyed themselves and kept the intensity level high and powerful. I didn't need to work out this morning since Sting and the band made me jump, shout and dance to every song they played. Thanks Sting I had a great evening and will treasure the memory of the show for a long time to come.
This was my first Sting concert and he put on an excellent concert. The audio was great. There really is not a bad seat at Foxwoods MGM Grand Theatre.
I'd never seen Sting or the Police and I can say he did not disappoint. Amazing musician, and adding a great touch of his own style to previous hits. 2 encores, a great night.
