  • Stills Lost His Key!

by cindoid on 7/21/15Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

I love Stephen Stills and his song. Still a masterful guitarist. But he lost the earphone which kept him on key. He was SO off key that we left at intermission. We were very disappointed.

  • Still(s) Jammin'

While Stephen Stills may have lost his voice (Okay, yes, he has lost his voice!), he can still play the livin' crap out of a guitar - or, in this case, multiple guitars. And he can still tell a great story. Opened with "Helplessly Hoping" and closed with, of course, "Love the One You're With." Just Stills and a keyboardist, a bass player, and a drummer - and they were all fine musicians. First time at Buckhead Theatre and I will surely return; very laid back and comfortable venue.

  • Sad to see

by cindoid on 7/21/15Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

We were really looking forward to the concert and were very disappointed. While his skill on the guitar is still on point, he was terribly off key. Even knowing he would play more well known favorites we left as intermission.

  • Steohen Stills can still play the guitar

    by 1155 on 7/21/15Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Stephen Stills can still rock a guitar but his vocals are completely gone. He was off-key for most songs and I found myself feeling sorry for what he's lost. He needs to hire a few back up singers to help him out. I left early-it was too painful and depressing. I have been a fan for over 40 years and I couldn't stand it!

  • Time is past

by bdga on 7/21/15Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

While I love Stephen Still's songs and music, when he offers to perform live I expect a quality performance. That is not what he offered. He sang off-key, forgot lyrics, sang songs that the band was not playing until he noticed his mistake, was unable to hit high notes and generally perform poorly. His band was unengaged in the music seeming as embarrassed for him as were we. This was, at the core, a painful, expensive experience. We left at intermission.

  • Good show

Thought that the set list and instrumental aspects of the concert were great! Ol Stephen's voice aint what it used to be but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend to others and go again!

  • A nostalic trip down rock n roll lane

    by Buzzdog99 on 7/21/15Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Stephen Stills did an admirable job, after his vocal chords got loosened up, of entertaining and taking us down memory lane. He played oldies and recent releases. I'd forgotten what an accomplished guitarist he is.

  • Very disappointing performance

    by draftsman01 on 7/19/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 2 out of 5

I was so looking forward to seeing Stephen Stills and have been such a fan and an admirer for many years. The first set was really rough, both vocally and in musicianship; sloppy guitar playing, slurred vocals. On one song he actually stopped the song and started it over. Never seen this done in all the concerts I have attened over the years. I am hoping this was just a bad night for him, he is 70 years old and I have to make some allowances for that. But, overall it was a very disappointing performance. On a brighter note, the venue was very nice, the food good and excellent wait staff. I hope for for the remainder of his summer tour the perforamce will improve.

Left early, very disappointed. Overall health problems seemed overwhelming. Afterwards couldn't help but feeling cheated.

  • Honest Stephen Stills Review

by Samlab on 7/9/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show....funny, interacts with the audience, has a new Fender that just sounds superb and a surprise when he cranks out the notes. So here goes...Stephen Stills is one of the most gifted American songwriters. He is now 70 years old and his voice is that of a 70 year old man that has graced many stages. He can still hit the high notes, but be realistic as he has a profound hearing loss that affects the voice, as it does with everyone that suffers from any form of hearing loss either in one or both ears, as is the case. I attend his concerts as a student of his style of guitar playing since day one. He is the consummate Master of the Martin Guitar the tone and quality of his playing is just outstanding...on electric well lets just say he's the heart and soul of every CSN and CSN&Y album...every alum that has played with him and I have interviewed all same the same thing...."He taught me so much, and I am forever grateful to him." Go out a have fun at the show, sing along like everyone did, turn off your phones, and enjoy the musicianship and talent of Mr. Stephen Stills.....he gives 100%, you give back 100%. Show was almost 2 hours with a 15/20 min break. His band mates are the cream of the crop talent in the industry.....everyone had just a great time.

  • Stephen Stills still has it

    by Chris1234k on 7/9/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed his show. He incorporates his traditional great songs with recent song writting. His music reflects the times he has experience in 5 decades. He engages the audience with his sence of humor and the history of the songs he sings. He lost pitch at times but because of his hearing loss you will overlook the few times he struggles with some notes. I give his a performance 5 stars because he is an artist and a joy to experience the past and present songs he sings with heart.

  • Stephen Stills

    by Miguelito1 on 7/9/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Stills is Still Awesome! For a few hours, I was 18 instead of 61. Great to see that he continues to be passionate about creating memorable music. A really great night.

  • Stephen Stills should not be carrying on alone

by juliekindc on 7/9/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 1 out of 5

It was painful watching Stephen attempting to sing. His voice is completely shot. We saw the first show. Hope he has ditched the female singer he picked up in New York. She added nothing -- in fact was a detriment. His guitar playing is still at his level but he has got to beef up the vocal part of his show. While it was difficult to avert our eyes from the train wreck we left early.

  • Light Up The Blues was an iconic night!

by ilie on 4/29/15Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful night at a wonderful venue. Rock icons Neil Young and Steve Stills gave awesome performances. All the talent there gave exceptional performances. Having Brad Pitt in the audience was a plus!! And Jack Black was a fun host. Great night altogether.

Great show. Steven Stills and Neil Young are two of the best performers on the planet.

  • Spencer Harte was amazing!

by libdib on 4/29/15Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Sixteen year old Spencer Harte sang Ave Maria. She brought tears to my eyes, put goosebumps on my arms and brought the audience to their feet. She was performing with greats like Stephen Stills and Neil Young and she blew them off the stage. (They were also amazing). It was a wonderful evening.
