  • At 85 Jorma still at the top of his game

by Dick on 11/4/25Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Jorma Kaukonen, plus bassist Jack Cassidy and a collection of superbly talented friends, come together to create a musical experience that is simultaneously comfortable and dynamic. Leaves you wishing the birthday boy another 85 years of singing, playing and composing.

  • Hot Tuna still Cooks

by Been So Long Steve on 11/4/25Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Listening to Jorma is still wonderful. Great to hear Jorma and Jack together again. Having the extra guests added to the experience. Good mixture of the Tuna songs over the last 50 years. And Good Sheppard was wonderful. May that Sheppard take good care of Jorma!

All the songs sounded the same .. he is a skilled guitarist however . I left after the first set .

Expected something more but seemed like the same type song over and over agin so left at intermission as did many. Happy to support the island music programs and musicians though...

  • An Acoustic Master - enuf said!

by NJbluejay on 4/21/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Stood off to the side of the stage, at the end of the bar. Looking out at audience as Jorma played, they were somewhere between awed silence and stunned silence. No one plays quite like Jorma, a virtuoso on the guitar.

  • Great acoustic shows

by Joshua on 4/21/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Both shows at The Vogel were excellent! Songs were really good and Jorma does good too on the blues covers.

Jorma was on fire! He played seamlessly and sang perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed the Vogel at Count Basie Theather.
