  • Stills/Collins - Magic

    by SharpStick23 on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Wasn't sure what to expect but Judy Collins' voice is as rich as ever and Stephen still wails on the guitar like few ever could...outstanding show; I'd go again in a heartbeat!

  • Stills and Collins were wonderful!

    by Tina30022 on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Judy Collins' voice is amazing. Stephen Stills is still a great guitar man. Together they were wonderful.

  • by Pax2us on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

First time I heard Suite: Judy Blue Eyes was with 500,000 other young people on a cool night in upstate NY. I feel fortunate to hear as a duo with its namesake and a couple of thousand old people! Very cool!

  • They were great the sound was not

    by ATL52 on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

The sound techs had Stephen's guitar and the bass guitarist and the drum sound microphones so loud you could not hear Judy's beautiful voice at all and Stephen's iconic voice only slightly more. What a shame! One the two acoustic songs, Judy's voice was as glorious as always! She is a wonderful singer and songwriter and was hidden by the awful sound management.

  • Stills & Collins...sad.

    by Imageman751 on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

The opening act was not good and brought the whole mood down. Who's idea was it to put Stills and Collins together? It was like oil and water...they DON"T mix! Terrible harmoney along with bad sound mixing and the fact Collins was acustic and Stills was electric did not help matters any. It would have helped if Stills just did acoustic for the entire night. Very dissapointed.

  • Mediocre

by DawgWorx on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

The music was good but the sound engineer did a lousy job with their mics. Only rarely could you understand what they were saying.

  • Collins was polished Stills was meh

by Edbently on 8/12/17Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The sound quality was poor but I think intentional since Stephen Stills could neither hit a clear note on his guitar or vocally. The concert was ok and that's about it!

  • Awesome !

    by southeastside1jon on 8/6/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

What a great concert. In many ways this was a throwback. Certainly the performers and many of the songs they played fall into that category, but also the fact that this was genuine entertainment and music that could be enjoyed without earplugs or antics from fellow concertgoers made it seem like the old days. The entire audience was attentive and appreciative of these two very accomplished talents. Judy Collins' voice is just amazing, at any age. let alone late 70s. Stephen Stills has real soul. No more need be said. Go and enjoy.

  • Lame tour by Stills and Collins

by TheDoerandtheThinker on 8/3/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

I expected greatness. Soooooo underwhelmed. Sound was poor, they were unrehearsed which is unprofessional. I am out 1,000 bucks wasted on tickets. Skip this tour folks.

  • Stills left me still

by DancingShel on 8/2/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 2 out of 5

Steven Stills and Judy Collins have totally different styles and they seemed to have made no effort to blend them. Judy is spot on with her vocals and Stills is more of a meandering vocalist which works for him with CSNY, but not when he is trying to harmonize with Judy. Their single performances were really good, but their repartee was pathetic. Judy is pretty entertaining, with almost too many references to the glamour queens of the past (Mae West) but humorous, but Stills couldn't hear anything she was saying so there was no back and forth between them. Judy's mike was so loud she drowned out Stills who seemed to keep floating away from his mike.

  • Beautiful venue, unrehearsed show with tech diffic

by JCfam on 8/2/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 3 out of 5

I was thrilled to be seeing Stephen Stills, whom I have seen many times with a variety of other artists. This was a beautiful venue and a perfect summer evening, but the show was sadly lacking. Judy Collins's microphone was too loud and overpowered Stephens voice. The harmonizing needed more work, it was just not coming together. There were issues w guitars not being tuned. One sided stories took the place of more familiar songs and even some lyrics seemed forgotten. It was sad to leave disappointed. Though we are still fans, we would not repeat this combination of artists.

  • Judy Collins & Stephen Stills need to practice

by TulipTree on 8/1/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 2 out of 5

We attended the second concert given by these folk and rock icons. Given their past history together and the giant talents they both are we expected a wonderful evening. Unfortunately that is not what we got. Instead it was clear Collins and Stills were still working out their duets and figuring out how to blend their very different voices. Their back up band, referred to by Stills as their "secret weapon" was very good but simply too big a gun. They did succeed in covering up numerous mistakes, but in the course were just too loud. Each performer did solos. Collins was brilliant delivering Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne", but drowned out by the piano on "Both Sides Now". Stills showed off his considerable chops on the guitar, but his voice was often off key and flat. This duet seems like they were made in heaven and perhaps with more time together and practice they will realize this potential.

  • Judy Collins featuring Stephen Stills

    by CSNFAN440 on 8/1/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

Let me say upfront this concert was good. Kudos to JuJudy Collins! She has a crystal clear voice and tells a great story! However, we came to see and hear Stephen Stills too. We are big fans. He did get top billing, and we had expectations. They were not met. Something was off with him. Maybe he was tired, maybe he wasn't feeling well, who knows? It was almost as if his mic was really turned down, and Judy's was really not. His guitar playing was perfect, but where was his voice? We could barely hear him. Throughout the concert, Judy tried to get him to tell the stories with her, but that sort of fizzled. His solos were good, but Judy had many more opportunities to showcase her voice. She engaged with the audience. Stills didn't seem very engaging. If this was only the second stop on their ambitious looking tour, how will he be in a week or so? We loved when they sang Suite Judy Blue Eyes. It sure would have been nice to hear him sing everything as enthusiastically! Another comment we have is that they never mentioned where they were. It would have been nice if they would have said "Hello, Cleveland!" or anything at all to let the audience know that they knew where they were.

  • Stills/Collins HORRIBLE

by KJBrooks on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

This was, by far, the most disappointing, horrible, unprofessional "concert" I have ever attended. If I had not recruited others to also attend, I would have left after "song" #1. I could not believe how unrehearsed, amateur, disjointed and painful this was. I was really looking forward to this concert and was appalled that these 'legends' would willingly embarrass themselves in this way. "If it was a fight, they would have stopped it!". Someone should be honest with Stephen & Judith and alert them to this foolishness. Either they were totally wasted or they are delusional. I have never attended a worst live event. The sounds, notes, disorganized mess and flow was awful and mostly unrecognizable. I felt like I was robbed & beat up & all who attended with us agreed. Laughable, if not so damn disappointing. (Bad) words are insufficient.

  • disappointing

by OldFanInCleveland on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

The biggest problem was that Stills and Collins evidently don't sing in the same key. Their voices simply don't blend together well. They sounded fine when singing alone, but the only solos were "Both Sides Now," "Suzanne," and "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" fare from Collins, and "Thorough Gap" and "Treetop Flyer" from Stills. All the other songs were duets. It would have sounded better if they at least alternated verses. They also would have benefited from more rehersal time. This was the 2nd show on the tour - and it showed. They weren't in sync in their phrasing. Stills' guitar playing was superb, with a solo on nearly every song. The banter between songs was awkward. Some of the songs were old favorites, but others were obscure. (see set list)

  • A bit disappointed

by JarSc on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 3 out of 5

Only second performance on the tour.... and it seemed to show. As a duo, they seemed out of synch. Collins' voice and stage presence (story telling) were great. Stills' vocals were not strong, but he still can jam. In spite of some disappointment, still glad to get the chance to see them.

  • by 1CirqueFan on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

Individually they are great... together.. wrong. Just two different styles. They should do individual sets and maybe one encore together.

  • StillsColinsNotWorthIt

by Seemanyconcerts on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

If you haven't bought tickets already don't. This show was terrible. Nobody I talked to liked it. No way Still and Collins should be performing together. There's a lot o history between them but that is not enough to carry the show. Harmonies were off in fact they were nonexistent. It might have been ok if they sang separate sets but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

  • Stephen Stills/ Judy Collins

by PLBJ on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 3 out of 5

Judy Collins was great. Her and Stills did not sing well together. Stills guitar playing was great but his singing was not up to par.

  • Really Disappointed

    by toomuchfun1 on 7/31/17Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

7-28-17 Stephen Stills and Judy Collins, should have been billed as,Judy Collins with little help from Stephen Stills. 2nd time they have been on stage together, this show should have been done in motel room at Motel 6. This is the 5th time I've seen Stephen Stills, first time Houston Texas 1969 CSN&Y, this without a doubt, was the worst time. His voice and harmonies were off key and downright poor. Judy, Judy, Judy, story time works for children in pre-school not for over 60+ aged adults. Her voice was strong, but boring, as Stephen Stills said before the 2nd song, Judy stop telling stories, and lets play music, no, not happening'. ONE of my favorite songs by Stephen Stills was treetop flyer, he nailed it, OUTSTANDING !!! then, it was over. (1) song for my (1) ticket, what has happened to him? He is one guitar player I would love to meet in person, now, no sir. His guitar playing overall in this "concert" was mixed with missed notes, chords, and timing. I can't express enough how disappointed I was, this is the first time, my bud and I ever walked out on a "concert" with (2) 60's anchors weighted down, and landing at the bottom of the, yes Judy, "ocean" they drowned on a breezy, cool, night on 7.28.17, as we were leaving, they were playing "reason to believe" how telling. We had no reason to believe the show would get any better, and questioning the reason WHY we attended. All I have to say is "I'm NEVER going to listen to music AGAIN".
