About

At just 17 years old, Sophie Powers is the bold voice of a new generation. She understands the unique pressures of modern girlhood and uses her experience to write unfiltered, devil-may-care anthems about the ups and downs of being yourself. One minute she’s confident and cool, with the sneering attitude of a punk rock frontwoman, and the next she’s vulnerable and raw, channeling the loneliness of contemporary life in a stirring ballad. Combining the crunchy sound of punk with today’s hip-hop and pop, Powers is the sound of the future.

    Great Opener

    by J. C. on 7/17/23

I loved everything about her opening set!! She opened for Yungblud and The Regrettes in Philly and it was amazing! I actually listened to more of her music once I got home and have grown quite a liking to her. I love her style and she’s killing it! I hope to see her grow even more <3

    What a gem!

I saw her open for Waterparks and again for Yungblud. She has such good energy and her outfits are always so cool! It's nice to discover a new artist at a show, I've definitely added her music into my playlists.

    Cookiecutter Punk?

    by Allie on 7/14/23

Saw her in Philly as the first opener for YUNGBLUD, Second opener being The Regrette's. Her set felt like all of the most cringeworthy moments of my 2000's childhood balled up into one tiny young girl including the outfit (Looks like something I bought the first time my mom let me shop at Hot Topic with my Christmas money) and Myspace-esque backdrop (Black and Hot Pink Plaid and Hand drawn Anime girl included) . Her vocals live were pretty lacking and was one of the few times I'm glad the band was louder than the artist. Her inexperience shows through clear as day no matter how much false bravado she tries to portray. It overall just felt very forced and fake which isn't great when opening for two artists who are all about accepting and loving yourself and embracing what makes you "Weird"and who both have killer stage presence. If she's going to make it I hope she really embraces the opportunity she has touring with two great acts and learns a lot from them. I hope she succeeds but to get there she definitely has a long road ahead of her.
