  • Such a Fun Show!

    by Fizzie13 on 8/3/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This is a great show for all ages. It doesn't matter if you know anything about Tudor England or Henry the 8th - you will love the show! Fast paced with great songs, gorgeous costumes, and fun humor and comic timing. Check it out before it's gone!

  • Amazing wonderful show

by MegGieD on 8/3/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This cast, including the Ladies in Waiting, are absolutely incredible. The show was fun, moving, and insanely good. Don’t bother with original cast recordings (London or Broadway), these women blow them out of the water with vocals that are simply perfect.

  • High energy and fun

by MommaC on 8/3/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

These are extremely talented women who came to slay. They engaged with the audience, the storyline was easy to follow (if you didn’t really know the history well), and the band was awesome too. Go see it and have some fun!

  • These Queens Rocked!

by Lori on 8/2/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

My friend & I went to the show to celebrate her birthday. What a perfect girls’ night! The storyline, songs, music, dancing were amazing :) We were sad when the performance was over because we wanted more. For the next several days, we both commented that we were compelled to listen to the soundtrack again and again as we danced around our apartments. I will definitely see this show more than once.

Great story, beautiful singing, amazing costumes, and just the perfect length to take just about anyone to. Couldn't have loved it more.

  • Fabulous show for hip history nerds

by Jennifer Paxton on 8/1/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I am a history professor, and I LOVED this show! There were lots of spot-on historical details, but they were wrapped in a stylish and engaging package that made the show completely accessible to the non-initiated. The song "Haus of Holbein" was worth the price of admission by itself. Witty and creative. Just marvelous from first to last!

  • Awesome!

by CZ on 8/1/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was short and sweet and we enjoyed every minute. It's quite a clever to tell a history lesson, while also empowering women to be the star of their own story. The music is catchy and the actresses and musicians were all excellent.

  • Awesome

by Deewhit on 7/30/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Theater was not that crowded. But full of energy. The singing and music was fantastic. My second time seeing it, and was better the second time.

  • As good as, and some parts better than Broadway!

by McLean Mom on 7/30/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

High energy performance by top notch cast. Seymour was BETTER than the Broadway cast and others were absolutely as solid. Loved the coy winks and expressions from Cleve. Aragon rocked it, Boleyn brought exactly the right mix of sexy and smart. I had goosebumps from Seymour’s Heart of Stone. Laughed with Cleve, was heartbroken for Howard and cheered for Parr. Parr was a swing, but you’d never have known it. The ensemble melds well and seems to enjoy what they’re doing and each other. Saw Broadway in November and thought there was no way (no pun intended) this would be as powerful, was just expecting fun. I was blown away. Couldn’t stop singing and dancing! Go see this show!!!!

  • Never a dull moment!

  • Play was great, but tainted by outrageous service charge

by LS on 7/30/22The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The surprise $75 per ticket service at the last step of the process really tainted my ultimate enjoyment of the play (which was great). I will not be going back to the National Theater again.
