SILVERSTEIN IN CONCERT:
Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Canadian post-hardcore outfit Silverstein has consistently wowed audiences with their energetic, adrenaline-filled concerts. Their setlists pull from all seven of their studio albums and feature longtime favorites "Vices", "Bleeds No More", and "Smile In Your Sleep" alongside recent singles like "Stand Amid The Roar" and "Massachusetts". Frontman Shane Told pours his heart out onstage, alternating between soft melodic croons and thunderous screamo yells. The rest of the band radiates passion, from Paul Koehler's relentless drumming to bassist Billy Hamilton's guttural growling. Silverstein’s emotionally charged renditions of their aggressive, melodic songs are sure to leave their ravenous fans begging for more.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Silverstein formed in Ontario, Canada in 2000 and released their first EP, Summer's Stellar Gaze, later that year. Since 2001 the five-piece's lineup has consisted of lead singer and keyboardist Shane Told, guitarists Paul Marc Rousseau and Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In 2002 the band penned a deal with Victory Records and released their debut album, When Broke Is Easily Fixed, the following year. Their sophomore release, 2005's Discovering The Waterfront, introduced faster punk rock influences and cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the next decade they released five more studio albums, including 2013's This Is How The Wind Shifts. Silverstein excels in live performance and is known for their extensive touring -- having played in more than 40 countries at venues like The Depot and Marquee Theatre, alongside bands like Rise Against, Hawthorne Heights, The Devil Wears Prada, Blessthefall, and A Day To Remember. In 2014 they announced plans for a world tour to mark the 10th anniversary of Discovering The Waterfront, as well as a brand new studio album, I Am Alive In Everything I Touch.

Wow. So the venue was great we arrived and was immediately offered vip access for 25$. The Riverside municipal auditorium is a great venue. The wood floors are not exactly ideal when you have people two stepping and moshin. Very slippery. All the bands sounded great it was so fun. I definitely would go see dayseeker again or silverstein
One step closer and see you space cowboys were beyond horrible. Silverstein was just ok. Dayseeker was by far the best band of the night.
Awesome show, great bands and overall wonderful experience.
You can really tell that they love what they do and appreciate all their fans. One Step Closer and SeeYouSpaceCowboy igniated the stage and Dayseeker and Silverstein set the venue ablaze! Such a great venue and an amazing concert ❤️
They put on a great show Shane and the band are really personal. Their was amazing vocals, guitar bass they sound just like they do in studio plus they signed my Canadian flag they are great a must see
The event was amazing parking was easily accessible tickets were easy to pick up
Been a fan for yearsss. Have seen Silverstein a handful of times and its ALWAYS amazing.
Every band gave it their all and played songs that got the whole crowd going! would definitely go see Silverstein and dayseeker again!
Had an amazing time hearing some new bands and silverstein and dayseeker both put on great shows! I already wish I could go back and see them again! Food and drinks were too pricy though
The setup and view was awesome. Great view with wonderful service.
I’ve seen Silverstein and Dayseeker a few times, and as always they put on a fantastic performance. It was my first time seeing SYSC and One Step Closer, but they were equally as enjoyable and both played gnarly sets. The venue was pretty good, it was my first show at The Ritz in Raleigh. A bit cramped, but that’s to be expected with big name bands. The one thing that bothered me was when I asked about upgrading my wife and I to VIP to have access to the balcony seating, I was told it was $125 per person. That’s pretty steep for just some seats and another bar (there were 4 open bars downstairs, never had to wait for a drink.) But one thing I will absolutely commend The Ritz for is providing free water to all in attendance. That’s pretty rare for venues, because they know people are going to get thirsty while moshing or whatever, so most the time they charge a crazy amount for water (I’m looking at you, BRRF.) Overall it was a fantastic show; great performances, nice air conditioned venue, and the unlimited access to water made for a great night! 5/5 Would go again.
With a mix of old and new, it was a perfect display of everything Silverstein is. They've always had a distinct type of sound and flow but, at the same time, find a way to make each album unique. This latest album is a true testament to this band's skill and ability to diversify. It's their hardest album yet and, after nearly 20 years, these guys don't seem like they're slowing down. Shane Todd is an absolute beast on the microphone going in between clean and hard vocals; would definitely see these guys again.
Awesome show. I grew up listening to Silverstein with my older brother, we are 7 years apart, so having the opportunity to see them in person and hear them play songs from the older albums I was introduced to was a dream. I took my younger sister who had never really listened to them and she loved it and is ready for the next time they come to NC.
I had so much fun seeing Silverstein! I’m glad I got to see them while I was on vacation here in Myrtle Beach. ☺️
We haven't been to a show in 4 years, to see my all time favorite, Silverstein, along with my new favorite Dayseeker was a dream. One my husband and I spoke of only weeks before discovering they were on tour together. It was amazing to also see SYSC and find One Step Closer. Will definitely be listening to both of those more. Thanks to all for making the dream come true.
The House of Blues is the best venue to have a more up-close and personal view of the stage. I saw Silverstein back in 2013 at Warped and of course they were still amazing, but the environment at HOB just made it even more wonderful to see them. They've been one of my favorites since When Broken Is easily Fixed came out.
Such an incredible experience. Seeing one of my favorite bands put on such a kick ass show was great. I would recommend anyone who hasnt seen them yet to just do it.
Silverstein never disappoints, and Amity Affliction was awesome as well.
Best rock show I’ve ever been to! All bands that played were great! Would definitely see them again!
