About

SILVERSTEIN IN CONCERT:

Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Canadian post-hardcore outfit Silverstein has consistently wowed audiences with their energetic, adrenaline-filled concerts. Their setlists pull from all seven of their studio albums and feature longtime favorites "Vices", "Bleeds No More", and "Smile In Your Sleep" alongside recent singles like "Stand Amid The Roar" and "Massachusetts". Frontman Shane Told pours his heart out onstage, alternating between soft melodic croons and thunderous screamo yells. The rest of the band radiates passion, from Paul Koehler's relentless drumming to bassist Billy Hamilton's guttural growling. Silverstein’s emotionally charged renditions of their aggressive, melodic songs are sure to leave their ravenous fans begging for more.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Silverstein formed in Ontario, Canada in 2000 and released their first EP, Summer's Stellar Gaze, later that year. Since 2001 the five-piece's lineup has consisted of lead singer and keyboardist Shane Told, guitarists Paul Marc Rousseau and Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In 2002 the band penned a deal with Victory Records and released their debut album, When Broke Is Easily Fixed, the following year. Their sophomore release, 2005's Discovering The Waterfront, introduced faster punk rock influences and cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the next decade they released five more studio albums, including 2013's This Is How The Wind Shifts. Silverstein excels in live performance and is known for their extensive touring -- having played in more than 40 countries at venues like The Depot and Marquee Theatre, alongside bands like Rise Against, Hawthorne Heights, The Devil Wears Prada, Blessthefall, and A Day To Remember. In 2014 they announced plans for a world tour to mark the 10th anniversary of Discovering The Waterfront, as well as a brand new studio album, I Am Alive In Everything I Touch.

    Great show

by Kaidan on 9/16/22The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

Second time I’ve seen Silverstein and both times were awesome. UnityTX, Holding Absence, and The Amity Affliction opened. The music was dope, bartenders were super nice and fast, and the crowd had great energy. If you haven’t seen Silverstein lately, they’re just as good as they were 20 years ago if not better. Hit me right in the middle school feels. 10/10

    I had so much fun

by Kalileo on 9/6/22The Depot - Salt Lake City

I managed to get like four people from the front, closest I've ever been. First mosh pit experience I've had, but the crowd was nice about it honestly. Loved when they handed water out, was needed for sure. The wait to get in was longer than expected, but still had a great time. Love Silverstein so much, was so happy to be there.

    Amazing guys!

by KC on 9/6/22The Depot - Salt Lake City

They are really cool, down to earth guys! I wish we had more time to talk to them, though! They were super cool to my 12 year old daughter and Shane said "There is no way you can have a 12 year old. You don't look old enough!" Then turned to my daughter and said, "Dang you got good genes!" They gave my daughter a hug and were super nice! Probably one of 3 nicest bands I've ever met!

    Amity affliction

by Rc on 9/6/22The Depot - Salt Lake City

Show was great. Getting into the venue not so much. They called to say the show would start at 6:00. So we showed up at 5:00 and didn’t get into the depot until 6:20 and they show still started at 7:00. The entrance procedure needs to be corrected. Standing outside in 100 degrees for 2 hours not cool.

Silverstein, the amity affliction and holding absence were all amazing live, sounded great and put on a great show. Venue staff was on top of things and professional. Always love going to a show at the Ace of Spades.

The amity affliction crowd was NOT IT

by Shelldandy on 8/30/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

I’ve seen Silverstein so many times and have NEVER had a bad experience with the people in this scene whatsoever. But this show was one of the worst shows I’ve ever been to. 95% of the people in the crowd were incredibly disrespectful, mean and obnoxious. I was so uncomfortable in this crowd I didn’t even enjoy seeing my favorite band. Truly disappointed and dissatisfied with the whole experience. Only giving it two stars because im reviewing my favorite band. If it were not showing specifically for them I’d give one star.

Headlining Silverstein sets are always incredible. The energy they bring is unmatched by any other band, and they continue to be innovative. The Wheel of Hits is a fantastic way to keep sets fresh and unique from town to town!

    Childhood Rewind

by Isabelle on 12/15/21History - Toronto

Soooo glad they played most of Discovering the Waterfront - brought me right back to my emo days. They killed it. Don’t know their new music too much but it was still a blast and they were super engaging with the crowd.

    Show and venue were great

by Jeff on 12/15/21History - Toronto

Everything about the show was top shelf, venue did a great job of covering off all the bases and made it feel personal with the bands. Very much enjoyed it all!

    Silverstein

by Logan on 12/7/21The Underground - Charlotte

The show was amazing, even better than I expected. The only issues I had were with the venue. It was literally freezing in there even during the show with everyone moving all around. Also the bar was card or Apple Pay only which would have been good to know prior to the show.

    Worth The 2 Year Wait

    by Joliefille88 on 12/6/21The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

This was totally worth the wait! The venue is amazing, being so local to the Marta train station means no one has to draw straws to DD. And I mean... Silverstein!!! Only thing that would have made it better is if in person vip meet and greets we're back. Oh well, progress still.
