About

SILVERSTEIN IN CONCERT:

Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Canadian post-hardcore outfit Silverstein has consistently wowed audiences with their energetic, adrenaline-filled concerts. Their setlists pull from all seven of their studio albums and feature longtime favorites "Vices", "Bleeds No More", and "Smile In Your Sleep" alongside recent singles like "Stand Amid The Roar" and "Massachusetts". Frontman Shane Told pours his heart out onstage, alternating between soft melodic croons and thunderous screamo yells. The rest of the band radiates passion, from Paul Koehler's relentless drumming to bassist Billy Hamilton's guttural growling. Silverstein’s emotionally charged renditions of their aggressive, melodic songs are sure to leave their ravenous fans begging for more.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Silverstein formed in Ontario, Canada in 2000 and released their first EP, Summer's Stellar Gaze, later that year. Since 2001 the five-piece's lineup has consisted of lead singer and keyboardist Shane Told, guitarists Paul Marc Rousseau and Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In 2002 the band penned a deal with Victory Records and released their debut album, When Broke Is Easily Fixed, the following year. Their sophomore release, 2005's Discovering The Waterfront, introduced faster punk rock influences and cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the next decade they released five more studio albums, including 2013's This Is How The Wind Shifts. Silverstein excels in live performance and is known for their extensive touring -- having played in more than 40 countries at venues like The Depot and Marquee Theatre, alongside bands like Rise Against, Hawthorne Heights, The Devil Wears Prada, Blessthefall, and A Day To Remember. In 2014 they announced plans for a world tour to mark the 10th anniversary of Discovering The Waterfront, as well as a brand new studio album, I Am Alive In Everything I Touch.

    Amazing!

by Michael F on 12/5/23Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - Nashville

I have seen Silverstein 6 times now and this was by far my favorite time! “This Is How the Wind Shifts” was the album that got me started on them and to get to finally hear all of those songs live, was life changing! Their sound is the best live sound for a band I have ever heard.

Probably the best Silverstein show ever!

by Angi on 12/5/23Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - Nashville

Just like the title says, I can't count how many times I've seen these guys and they always bring their A-game, however this show.... It's like they knew where the bar was and jumped through the clouds. Not sure how they will top this one.

by Katie on 12/5/23The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

Silverstein always puts on a great show. They are charismatic and talented and have a great book of songs to pull from and continue to build on that. Highly recommend seeing them whenever they come out.

10 years - This is how the wind shifts

by Matt on 12/4/23The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

I was 18 when this album was released and in my last year of high school. I had to get tickets to this show when I saw they were doing an anniversary show. I’ve never had memories flood into my head like that night with music as I did at the masquerade. I was on the verge of tears hearing some of the songs from this album. Because of where I was when the album was made and where I am now. The venue was perfect, the crowd was amazing, it felt like I was at warped tour again. 29 year old me talked to 18 year old me that night and gave him a nice big hug.

The Wind Definitely Shifted in Silver Spring!

by Zangetsu on 12/3/23The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

at 20+ years in the game, Silverstein still manages to have a fantastic and electric live show! The turnout was a little smaller due to the show being during a Wednesday but the more intimate vibe of the concert made up for it. They had performed their 2013 album, "This Is How The Wind Shifts"front to back with a few of their greatest hits sprinkled in and they had managed to improve on the sound so much from 10 years ago. This is my 2nd time seeing Silverstein and it was even better than the last time!

    Amazing show, must see!

by Andra on 4/29/23The Observatory North Park - San Diego

I've seen a lot of concerts in the past year or so with all kinds of bands from the scene returning after COVID. I can easily say that Silverstein is one of the best! Their energy was amazing, sound was great! It's impressive that these guys bring it harder than bands that are much younger than them. I really hope they come back soon!

    Always a great show

by the emo cowboy and his wife on 4/26/23Rialto Theatre-Tucson - Tucson

Silverstein never disappoints! we were sitting up top this time in the seats and next to a guy who we there for dayseeker and he never saw silverstein before. he loved it and went right out and bought their shirt! we got to meet the band after and get some autographs and just talk to them for a few minutes. They are some of the coolest laid back guys! we met them on the END cruise too. we’ve been listening to them since they started and are our favorite band. will never stop going to their shows. their music is amazing and fun to jam out to at the concert.

    All around great show

by Kiki on 4/25/23Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

All the bands were great but it was also a great crowd. The bartenders were super friendly and drinks were good. The crowd reminded me again why I love rock shows. People are generally nicer more respectful.
