I had heard really good things about Spongle but I ended up honestly quite disappointed with their performance. When you have to ask to make sure that the headliner is in fact the headliner, that's when you know you've have been let down. Visuals and the other stuff was good but the music, thumbs down.
Shpongle was so much fun. It was a weird strange trip that went t some amazing places. I must hand it to Simon, he took us on a journey!
Great venue and great event! Shpongle had an amazing connection with the audience, and communicated with us through rhythmic beats. People laughed, screamed, jumped, swayed, and danced all through the long set, that was accompanied by spectacular visuals on the Shpongletron. I highly recommend this show, and will be looking for more concerts at The Electric Factory.
I loved everything about that night! Show completely rocked and everyone at the electric factory was wonderful! That was my first time in that venue and I'll most definitely be going back!
Simon delivered a fantastic musical journey with his magical DJ booth to add to the adventure! Cool crowd! Young ravers to "experienced" hippies, all having a great time! Venue was plenty big enough. Plenty of room to stand and dance, not much to sit. This was not a show for sitting anyway! They did want $12 for parking and wouldn't let us leave the car overnight. We parked in the overnight lot at the nearby train station instead. Alcohol was real expensive and the only bar was in the brightly lit lobby. Saved us money!

Loved both Phutureprimitive and Sphongle. The venue is not big enough for dancing tho. And I love that part of a show. And not to complain but the last set a pitch so loud affected my eardrum. Never had that happen in my 20+ years of event going. But I still loved the show. Would go again if not at the state theater.
Good venue general admission is always great if you post up early. Great crowd Great performance.
I go see Sphongle every year, and as usual I loved it! Phutureprimitive was amazing as well, I love his vibe <3
Simon put on a mind blowing show! The new Shpongletron set is amazing and the Visuals by Zebbler are so fluid and perfectly choreographed. Highly recommend! Stay Shpongled!

Good visuals, interesting vriwd, but the music was hard to dance to.
Shpongle was amazing! His FireWire card crashed 5 minutes before show time, and I could barely tell!

I was hoping to see Shpongle as an instrumental band... but I should have expected this. The ticket was very cheap and the venue was small. It was just very disappointing to see Simon DJing on his computer *sigh* kind of reminded me of Infected Mushroom on fast forward. Hardly recognizable as Shpongle.
Shpongle was amazing. Could not believe the show ended at at 11pm on a Saturday night. HOB is hands down the worst venue in sd.
Sphongle was AMAZING! His set was beautiful, the visuals were outstanding, and the Sphongletron has never looked better! The music was great, and the crowd was really feeling the vibe. I love Shpongle's range -- I heard carnival music, flamenco, psytrance, and more all in one set. As far as the performance is concerned, Sphongle knocked it out of the park. That being said, House of Blues needs to make some major adjustments to their security. It wasn't until my group had parked our car blocks away, walked to the venue up three flights of stairs and up to the front doors that we learned many of the items we had on us weren't permitted inside the venue. Our options at that point were to leave them on a table (and we were told the staff were not responsible for the stuff left on there) or walk allllll the way back to our car to lock it up. I get that some things (light up clothing, kandi bracelets) weren't permitted due to their ties with the drug culture (outlawing them is pointless and asinine, IMHO), but a fanny pack and lipstick? Really? If you're going to be so petty and outlaw items that shouldn't be prohibited, then put a notice on the website or on the event page!
I was glad to see Shpongle return to South Florida after killing it last year on a weekday. This show was excellent. He did not dissapoint. I was definitely liking the new visual setup. Desert Dwellers were also incredible. I was really looking forward to seeing them for the first time. I hope they return again.
Wow, what an awesome amazing time! Shpongle is the best, the music was great. The people there were even better. Everyone was dancing and having just a wonderful time, it was a night to remember. I would definitely recommend anyone to go see Shpongle, it's an experience.
