Shpongle Tickets

There is nothing like a Shpongle show. The lights, the dancing, the hooping, the poi...non-stop dancing for hours on end, all hail the almighty Shpongle!

In short: Danced all night; great visual effects; music is captivating and energizing.

Excellent performance. Crowd was not as energetic.

This event was marketed as "Shpongle Live" which, if you have seen Shpongle live before is a spectacular event full of musicians, color and live performances. Shpongle is made up of of Raja Ram and Simon Posford of which only Simon was present. Worse still this was not live but rather Simon "pretending" to DJ (he wasn't wearing any headphones so even the DJ'ing wasn't live) and standing in a psychedelic tower which was cheap and had even worse visuals projected on it. Simon "played" all the hits. Not reworked versions....just the stuff directly from the CD's. To top it off the audience was made up of teenagers and children, some as young as 11 or 12. This is the worst event I think I have ever been to and I will be trying to get my money back. Absolutely joke.

I've seen Simon Posford perform Shpongle DJ sets many times, and this was by far the best. His "Shpongletron" stage setup adds a new visual element to the show, and his DJ set now includes a lot more "live" sounds, where in the past it was more of him simply segueing 2 tracks together. Highly recommend this show to both new and old fans - I know for myself, after seeing him perform DJ sets in the past I felt they were getting a little stale and same-y... you owe it to yourself to give him another chance, if you felt this way also!

The event surpassed any and all expectations I had. I had an amazing time and so did all of my friends. Simon Podsford is a genius.

The Shpongletron experience lived up to and exceeded all of my expectations!

Besides the fact that this was listed as Shpongle, even though it was actually the Shpongletron Experience (Simon Posford DJ set), it was all-in-all a great event.

Stage looked cool but overall I thought this show was very boring

smashing set, awesome crew of alternate dj's, best dance I've had in Pittsburgh. It was truly a pleasure to hear you play again, and the half hour after the show to say hello. safe travels. Simon you're one of the most lovely people i know. keep shining. love Cate

Lynx was decent, random rab was great, and shpongle was phenomenal. The shpongletron is an impressive stage err... thing. Never seen anything like it. He played some tastey tunes, more varied than I was expecting. While it was a dj set, it felt like live music. There was a tangivle eb and flow you could say. I had a good time.

So i am a HUGE shpongle/simon posford fan. And I thought the music he played on wednesday night was amazing. however, i am noticing a trend in the shows that i have been going to and this show was a great example. Musicians seem to be designing their shows with a new purpose; to aid in the effects of the drugs people take at shows. The music builds and grows in the form of a trip and it seems that musicians are interested greatly in making their music so that the crowd can have a better drug experience. Now there is nothing wrong with this, but is is degrading the art? It's just a question, is it wrong?
