Fillmore unable to move people through security

by Jordan on 10/30/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

Shpongle was amazing. Great show and great visuals by Android Jones. Line to get into the venue was over an hour long and wrapped around the entire block. I'm not looking forward to future events at the Fillmore. They need to figure out how to effectively get concert goers into the venue.

    amzing music, horrible experience overall....

by BBLUT on 10/30/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

Security was next level stupid, an left people out in below freezing conditions with snow fall for a minimum of 45 minutes as they patted down every single person after passing through multiple metal detectors!!! And then just way oversold for the capacity of the venue, creating a sardine can environment inside. Was just absurdly unsafe, with no space to move in the entire venue. If opening acts weren't so good, while the place wasn't yet overfilled, would be extremely angry at the experience. Come on Fillmore, you can do better than this!!!

    Amazing event

by Mama G on 10/30/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

So glad that we had VIP for this event and to see all of the artists creating original art throughout the venue as well as to look at art on display, of all shapes and sizes was the best! Then the aerial dancers, the entertainers that were on stage with Simon made this concert one of my favorites of 2023!! Thank you!!

    Incredibly long line

by Shpongle Fail on 10/30/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

The line to get in the Fillmore was over an hour in the cold weather! I have been to many concerts here and never had this issue. Making people wait outside for that long in the cold is very disappointing!

    Okay.

    by M. G. on 12/17/19Webster Hall - New York

This felt like it was kind of phoned in. I was mostly disappointed with the screen. If an audio artist is going to feature a visual artist on the bill at least give that consideration when booking the venue or getting the stage assembled. FKJ played webster hall and had a way more impressive visual component and he just played recorded segments of himself. The key was that he had three additional larger screens around the stage to play off of. I only really mention this because Android Jones was listed as a part of this show and it felt like he wasn't even there. Instead, it was just some Beats Antiquesque dancers and Sphongles' huge set up (without anything particularly impressive for him to play) blocking the view. We left early, on top of a disappointing production, per usual the venue felt oversold and some super drunk chick kept ramming into us. I guess I was more excited for Android Jones and/or the live set which wasn't until the following night.

    Oh my glob

by Eric on 12/13/19Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

Everything about the show was flawless. Simon's music was on point; his live set did not fail to disappoint keeping the energy flowing through the crowd like a magnificent current of cool blue electricity. Android Jones's live visual show paired perfectly, offering the crowd the most deliciously decadent transcendental psychedelic art experience imaginable (and unimaginable). Part Cirque Du Soleil, part EDM rave, ShpongleDroid was and is, by far, the most amazing concert experience I've ever had. You do yourself a disservice to miss such a sensory feast. 11/10 recommend.

Desert Dwellers and Shpongle were amazing. The sound quality, intense light show and stage performance were all on point.

The Fillmore is just meh. But Simon Posford always delivers a high energy and extremely danceable show! Lots of fun!

    Shpongle disappoints

by Stgebode on 10/31/17Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Simon Posford presented a show beneath his talents. It was full of gimmicks (shop worn samples and rediculous "dancers"). Just right for those that tripped but hollow for those that didn't. In contrast, Bluetech explored broad harmonics within his trademark syncopated rhythms, modulating tempos and exploring the mood of the audience. Loved Bluetech. Shpongle, meh.

    Shpongle

by maaz on 10/30/17Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

What a night, 3 acts one right after another. All outstanding! There were live artists everywhere. We were at the front and we didn’t want to lose our spot, the security guys gave us cups of water. So nice!!!! Clozee rocked the house, getting everyone ready for Shpongle. It was a sensory overload of music, acrobats, visuals and dancers, there was so much to see and hear. It was a plethora of excitement everywhere. Best night, best show ever! Thank you all who put it together.

Wow, it was beyond all my expectations. I want to go again and again, which is quite unusual since I don't usually hang out in the rave scene. Thank you Alex Grey, you are an amazing being:)

by Passwordsssss on 12/15/15Uptown Theater - Kansas City

Gorgeous venue, with an amazing musical preformances, and well-thought out event. The event had amazing extras such as live art and dancers. This show went well out of its way to impress and it came out a one of a kind event. Myself and friends highly enjoyed this event as we will remember it a great one.
