Shin Lim on Tour
Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.
There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.
Shin Lim Background
Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.
He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.
My fiance and I loved watching Shin Lim on youtube and then when he went onto AGT to win twice! It was great to see him live as it was a totally different experience. We loved that he had Colin Cloud with him as both were very interactive and involved with the audience!
I brought some friends from the Netherlands to the show. We had good seats and loved the show. It was so interesting. We could not figure out how the tricks were done. The time went by quickly. We would go again.
Excellent! Hand and Eye manic. Worth every penny. The audience Participation Was fun to watch. Will go see him again!
Better in person that it was on TV. Impossible to understand how it is done live and on stage. The comedy mind-reader is also fantastic and very entertaining. Other than the last trick (which is cheesy and done by everyone; hint: if going to change places be sure both magicians have tattoos on their arms) a fantastic show. A must see!

Now, this was great entertainment for everyone of all ages! He and Colin Cloud had the audience involved right from the start! Try to sit close up so you have a chance to be picked for the fun!
If you had never seen him prior to the Vegas show, he'd be great. However after spending $600+ for the two seats, I was sure hoping I'd see something new nope, every illusion at this show I had seen on TV. HIS SHOW Co- star, Colby Cloud was terrific!
I usuallly dont like magic shows but i was in town and this didnt dissapoint! its different (and ay i say the best!) magic show ive seen . compared to the rest!
If you are thinking how great it would be to see Shin Lim live, just know everything you will see live you have already seen on TV. There was NOTHING new...just a variation to the last act simply due to the Vegas venue. The associated music was nice. The best part was his co-performer Colin Cloud, another AGT contestant. We were very disappointed and wish we had spent our $300/ticket on something else, like Mike Hammer at the Four Queens for $20.00. want to see more Shin Lim? Check out You Tube

Did not know what to expect from Shin.....but an absolutely fantastic show. Colin Cloud is annoying, but he manages to pull of some pretty incredible mid reading tricks. Well worth the money and highly recommended.
Would definitely go see this magic show - Nice interaction with the audience and loved the two of them how they interacted together Great for adults and children - an amazing experience - a definite show to go to

Nice combination of fun and fantastic with both Shin Lim and Colin Cloud. We had fourth row seats but in such an intimate theater everyone had a great view. Close up magic was helped by video screens. Ending was amazing. Worth the ticket price.
