Shin Lim on Tour
Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.
There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. Shin Lim Background
Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.
He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.
Shen Lim was astonishing with his magic, his wife is so sweet on the aerial ring, and the mentalist .. truly mind boggling. In addition to the performers, the theater is cozy and intimate..super comfortable. It was a birthday celebration that will not be soon forgotten.
Well seems like Shin Lim is tried of the show .. it had a few good tricks, but overall disappointing. I felt like he was mailing it in.. maybe too many shows has him burnt out. Go see something else in Vegas.
The show was exciting, engaging, and original. Shin Lim presented his story throughout the evening, which made the show seem that much more deserving of applause. He has been on an incredible journey to make it to this stage. We had a delightful evening at this show.

His sleight of hand is excellent but I felt the show dragged because of the emphasis on the story. Also about half the show was done by the other 2 performers. I paid to see Shim Lim but felt there was too much time given to the other 2 performers.

Although he's still new to the scene Shin is great magician I'm sure in time he will become more popular
The show was fantastic! I knew nothing about Shin Lim. I took a chance on the show because I stayed at the Venetian. He is very talented! I highly recommend the show. The only downside was the mind reader acts were a little cheesy and excessive. Shin Lim's wife is very talented. I really enjoyed her act.
Great from beginning to the end. My guest and I were greeted nicely by the usher, who assisted me with my walker. We had seats in the middle, just 4 rows back.
It was a good show, not great over all. We had front row center seats. The opening act was good. Shin Lim is very good. But sitting so close we could see the sleight of hand, but the closing act was great. The Mentalist was good. Had a couple of good tricks
All in all it was a good show. The mentalist who opened the show was extremely good and audience engagement was the best. Shin lim had a very good show. Good card tricks. One thing…Shin, leave your wife out of the show. She may be a magician but, to me, a waste of time. I did not pay to see her. Over all well worth the money paid
Love Shin Lim so much! He was our favorite on AGT. I knew he was going to be huge! This show was incredible! I forgot to clap sometimes because I was baffled, trying to figure out how he does what he does! Bravo!
Excellent show. I was in the second row all the way to the left of the stage. Excellent seats. The “emcee” was a mentalist who appeared throughout the show and was absolutely amazing. Every one of his tricks were great. Shin Lim himself was also quite spectacular. I loved his narration as he recounted his life throughout the show. And his magic was truly sensational. I was very close to the stage and still couldn’t see how he did what he did. There is a big screen on stage so there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
Awesome show. A definite must see when in Vegas! We were amazed the whole time.
He was great, amazing talent would recommend that you go see him if you are in Vegas!
show was very repetitive and boring. Most of the show was the same tricks with cards and//or chips. The Narrator was the best part of the show.
It was fun and entertaining. We are all happy that we went.
Such a beautiful performance and love the storyline! Was there on preview day with my family and so glad we got to see 3 amazing performers! Love how they interact with the audience and making us feel impressed that we performed a mini magic trick ourselves. The transitions, acts and interactiveness were definitely leaving us speechless and I will return to come see Shin Lim again!!!! Palazzo set up was great in that no matter where you sat, view is great!
I couldn't stop smiling and am in awe of Shin's talent!
The Voltaire is a must experience concert venue. Really cool intimate night club Vibe. Jess was fantastic!
