Shin Lim on Tour
Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.
There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.
Shin Lim Background
Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.
He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.
The sleight of hand is unbelievable. The mentalist did a great job in assisting. The singer did a great job in one of the acts. His wife did a beautiful cirque act with magic. Would definitely recommend to watch money will spent.
A truly amazing show. Shin Lim is a master of his craft and he will leave you astounded and in awe of the magic.
As usual Shin Lim delivered a great magic show, however, I was hoping he did add some new acts/tricks that he haven’t performed in AGT or in other platforms. The tricks were very predictable so it kind of boring to watch. Overall, it’s still a great show but I am not sure if I watch it again.
I can almost always spot at least a few of the magic tricks' secrets when I see a magic show. However, not in this show! I was amazed during the entire performance, and had a hard time keeping my job from dropping to the floor on a regular basis.
Second time seeing this show and was just as great as the first time. Love that his wife is part of the show. DO NOT pass up seeing this show.
He talked way to much, and up till the end it was strictly card tricks which if your sitting in the first 3/4 rows you can see what he’s doing. You see the strings attached to them. The clean up crew left papers in cup holders so you know the 6 of hearts is going to be called. It wasn’t all back but definitely expected more out of it. The narrator of the show was by far my favorite.
Shin was absolutely amazing. Seeing how he does closeup magic with cards, I was skeptical about the show, but he pulled it off masterfully. He has fantastic talent, and puts o a fantastic show!
The Shin Lim Limitless show is well worth the money. Staged well in a comfortable showroom, the show moves at a good pace with Shin Lim and other talent putting on a great very viewable show.
I've been a fan of Shin Lim for many years since his appearance at AGT. Before attending his show at Palazzo in 2024, I also was at his show at his previous residency in 2022. Both have been fantastic and enjoyable experience. His latest show is quite polished. However, there is barely any difference between shows in 2022 and 2024. His main tricks are still from 2018 or earlier. I would love to see some novelty.
I came to see it from Japan. I know about him at AGT and wanted to see the show once. I love card magic and have seen a lot of it. His magic was like watching "real magic". I think that if you have done even a little bit of magic yourself, like me, you will be able to appreciate how amazing he is. The ticket price may seem high, but it's worth it. If you're even slightly interested, be sure to check it out!
The show was good, just a little slow in some parts
My wife and I really enjoyed it. Although we were all in the back on their ADA section, we were able to see what was going on, on their big screen. Great show!
Extraordinary close up magic and sleight of hand. Nicely put together performance in all aspects. Shin Lim is amazing along with his mentalist/psychic sidekick. Makeup and costumes could be improved, some of the voice overlays were a bit hard to folllow. (in fairness my hearing is not the best). Highly recommended.
Very well produced show. The tricks get progressively complex, leaving you completely bewildered. I was skeptical about watching close-up magic from such a large venue, but it is quite well done. High level of audience participation, but sit up close if you want a shot at getting on stage. The MC also performs interesting acts throughout the show and is quite engaging. Overall it is a great evening out for the family.
The best magician I have ever seen no sleeves where does all those cards come from got me. All I know he’s worth seeing
I went into the show not knowing anything about Shin Lin and WOW. I can’t believe he was able to put on just a show, and with card tricks! I was amazed! 10/10
I'm so glad I went to see Shin Lim!! His show is very entertaining and full of humor!! I loved his background story!! I loved the reason why he named the show, "Limitless"!! Definitely fell in "love"with him, too!! 😍 This was the highlight of my trip!! I would definitely go see him again!! He's a blessing to the Vegas Strip!!

Without giving away the show, I like the varieties of the show. Very well worth the money. Highly recommend, you won't regret it.
Incredible show by Shin Lim! Highly recommend to all. He is so talented. Great theatre and we had amazing seats for a great price. Definitely check this show out!! So many great surprises.
