Shin Lim on Tour
Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.
There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.
Shin Lim Background
Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.
He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.
We have second row seats and they were great! But the description on ticketmaster said we gevto meet and greet which wasn't true. My kids were excited in hopes they got to meet shin lim before or after the show for pictures but there was nothing.
I am disappointed with the show. The entire show is advertised with the person of Sim Lin, however, there are a total of three people performing. The narrator takes up about 1/4 of the show, as does Sim Lin's wife, who also fills another 1/4 of the show. In theory, this is not a problem, however, only 45 minutes of the actual show remains out of the hour and a half performance, similar elements of which can be found on YouTube (after a more thorough search). The performances themselves are impressive, but lack innovative magic tricks. In my opinion, the price is definitely excessive in relation to the quality offered - the ticket should be much cheaper.
Could have been better. There was a technical issue show has stopped which changed the mood of the show as we got detached
We thought the show was great. Loved that he had included the audience with the cards at our seats. Even though there was a power failure, they were able to still keep the audience entertained. Interesting fact, we are from Vancouver and married on August 19th, the same as Shin Lim. Loved his hair and the story about his life. The opening act and his helper were a great idea.
Great show! Shin Lim was outstanding! A little ‘slow’ in places, but overall fantastic! He is a real ‘showman’ and knows his craft exceptionally well! Still trying to figure out all his tricks!
Both Magician Shin Lim and Mentalist Colin put on a very entertaining show, the time flys by! Saw them at their new lication at the Venetian/Palazzo.
One of the best magic shows that I have seen. You will leave in amazement and questioning how he can be that good.
Shin Lin is simply amazing. He is the king of sleight of hand magic. The first trick involved the entire audience and was mind blowing. The venue was very nice and clean. Cocktails were outrageously expensive. Not sure why the staff needed to guard the bathrooms as you exit telling everyone to go into the casino. After paying 100 per ticket plus 40 for a cocktail you’d think you might be able to use the bathroom after an hour and a half show.
Would highly recommend this experience! His magic was again mind blowing! From the card trick that the entire crowd participated in to the hypnotist that was part of the act. Would definitely do this again when we Vegas again! The theater was super nice and even though we were sitting a little higher up It was still a great experience. Sitting closer to the stage, would’ve been a lot more fun as you would’ve had a chance to participate a little more. We definitely highly recommend Shim Lin
Since seeing Shin Lim on AGT I was most excited to see this show when visiting Las Vegas. It was intriguing and phenomenal to see all of the slight of hand tricks he can do & the way he handles the cards is mesmerizing. He is a master of his trade. I thoroughly enjoyed his show.
Shin Lim is so talented. His show is entertaining and so much fun.

First of all Shin is amazing. How he performs his card tricks is magical. We attended the preview show . I loved the interaction with the audience. His sidekick was fantastic and funny and wove the act together wonderfully . My only issue was the act with the piano. We really couldn’t grasp the magic as it was just to far so the magic of this portion of the show was a bit lost. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this show as it was unique and well worth watching.
Shin - Lim was a super fun time. Crowd participation and many humorous moments - along with totally amazing tricks. The lighting and stage presentation was superb.

He was even more amazing in person than on TV. One of the best sleight of hand I've ever seen. Can't wait to see him again. Especially liked the way the show was split up with Colin Cloud, another AGT favorite of mine. Well done.
