About

Jamaican-American rapper and singer Shaggy exploded on the music scene in 2001 with the smash single "It Wasn't Me" off the multi-platinum selling album Hot Shot. The album also featured the single, "Angel," and helped launch Shaggy into international stardom where tickets for his live act were a hot draw, including memorable concerts with Natalie, Cyndi Lauper, Rupee and Fay-Ann Lyons. In addition to touring the world, Shaggy has also performed at several high-profile events, including the opening ceremony of the inaugural Champions League Twenty20 and the closing ceremony of the 2009 IPL tournament in South Africa. Following the release of a new album in 2013, it's expected that Shaggy will tour again with fellow musicians. Blessed with a unique, stylistic voice and featuring dancing and Jamaican influences in his act, Shaggy has sold hundreds of thousands of tickets. Shaggy collaborated with producing duo Sly and Robbie for the release of his latest album, "Out of Many, One Music." The album features several guest appearances, including Ne-Yo, Damian Marley, Beres Hammond, Konshens and Jimmy Cozier. "Out of Many, One Music" features the lead single, "Fight This Feeling," in addition to "Make Up" and "She Gives Me Love." Collectively, Shaggy has produced 12 studio albums over his 20-year career.

Shaggy was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and lived there until his family relocated to Brooklyn. He enlisted in the US Marines, but music was his true passion. While serving in the military, he gained inspiration for his first hit, "Boombastic." It wasn't until 2000, though, when Shaggy became an international sensation with the multi-platinum selling "Hot Shot." The singer/rapper has captivated audiences over a long and productive career and will continue to entertain select stages across the globe in 2014.

  • Best night of my life

by Sophia on 7/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Shaggy is hands down the best performer I’ve ever seen. He knows how to get the crowd hyped and he’s definitely an artist everyone should see at least once in their life❤️🇯🇲

  • Accoustics sucked

by Josh on 7/16/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Mixing was terrible all treble could barely hear shaggys voice.

  • I had an amazing time seeing TLC and Shaggy.

by Margaret on 7/16/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The concert was fabulous and the venue was fun. Not the best acoustics, but definitely a great experience.

  • Getto

by CA on 7/16/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointed about the venue. Would have been better and a bigger place IE: Rodgers or Shaw. Could have sang more and told less jokes

  • The sound was horrible

by Brodie on 7/16/23Rating: 1 out of 5

We had to leave about halfway as the distortion in the expo centre was hurtful to our ears. Was the worst concert Ive ever been to!

  • Great artists, no seating like mentioned on ticket

by Pregnant Mama on 7/16/23Rating: 4 out of 5

At 6 months pregnant, I found it really difficult to enjoy the last bit of the concert without seating. On the tickets I purchased, it said "seats"but there was no seating. It was extremely difficult to see as well because it was all flat minus the VIP. In the future, seating should be given if that's what the tickets say and a better layout so that everyone, especially short ppl, can see the stage. We had to use our cameras on our phones a lot of the time to see. Maybe have screens up of the artists too so that we can at least see on those big screens.

  • Not great

by Couldn't hear vocals on 7/16/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Couldn't hear vocals other music totally too loud bass, didn't know what song was playing the vip area not worth the money couldn't see stage at all. Was very very disappointed ☹️

  • Disappointed

    by 90’s girl on 7/16/23Rating: 1 out of 5

First off the sound was horrible, I did enjoy TLC once their sound was figured out. But for Shaggy, the mic’s were too high and the echo was terrible. I quite enjoyed the DJ more. I adore shaggy, for some reason this venues sound or theirs not sure was so bad I left with 45 minutes to go before the show was over. I have been to many concerts at the expo and have never had an experience like this before. Considering I drove 2 1/2 hours to see them I was disappointed. The lines for food were terrible as well as seating, for those like me with mobility issues. I watched from a small picnic table at the back . I understand the energy of the crowd for possible layout of the concert. But a lot of unused space for improvement, will I go back to this venue again for something just like this? No. The security as well as staff were great! No issue there.

  • The worst concert experience

by Courtney on 7/16/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I've been to a ton of concerts and this is by far the worst one I have ever been to. We left an hour early and spent the rest of the time in the main area because of how bad it hurt the ears. There was people just walking out the door constantly throughout the night because of how bad it was. Many long before shaggy even came on. It was ridiculous

  • Love shaggy

by She She on 7/15/23Rating: 5 out of 5

  • A lifetime artiste

    by Dr T on 7/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Shaggy brings that feeling that only Jamaica 🇯🇲 can give to the world. The whole arena was on our feet for his entire performance. His hits are legendary. His energy and stage presence is timeless.

  • Good concert

by Mizike on 9/19/22The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 5 out of 5

TLC was amazing, and Shaggy was good. It was worth the money but could have been better if they would have had another performer.

  • The music was great, and there isn't a shade

by V. V. on 9/7/22The Event at Graton Resort - Rohnert ParkRating: 4 out of 5

I was too hot, and I can't find a shade. I wasn't allowed to leave my workout bag with essential staff in the pool edge.

  • disappointed

by Weezy on 9/7/22The Event at Graton Resort - Rohnert ParkRating: 3 out of 5

I purchased 5 general admission tickets which included rows 3 and 5 with seat assignments; however, when we arrived there were no seats provided so I spoke with security and they looked at our tickets and tried to find where the seats were but there were no seats provided so they told us to either sit on the grass or find a place in the shade to stand. There was no re-entry into the pool area. There were no signs directing us to where the entrance to the concert was so we parked in front of the casino and went in through the hotel lobby only to find out that it was blocked and we had to walk to the other side of the hotel, around the corner in 100 degree weather to the entrance and to our surprise there was a full parking lot at that entrance. After not getting a seat, we left and had to make that long walk in 100 degree weather back to casino to find air conditioning. The only part of the concert I saw was what friends posted on face book. I spoke with other people in the casino and in the restaurant who had the same experience and were very disappointed. Not to mention that the traffic was backed up for over an hour from every direction trying to get to Rohnert Park. I frequent Graton Casino on a regular basis and this is my first bad experience. I want what was advertised and what I paid for which was row 3 and 5 seats. However, from looking at the face book posts, Shaggy put on a great show but we went to the G-Bar later that evening where the Twice as Good band performs every Sunday/Monday night and had a wonderful time with Old School music. Thank you for opportunity to express my opinion.

Great music, great sound quality, and very entertaining! He really knows how to get the crowd involved in his performance! TLC was amazing too!!! A group I am so glad I had the opportunity to see and check off my bucket list!

  • Great

by Tonyaks on 8/23/22The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was awesome. Loved it. The only problem was the sitting. None of the security knew where the right section was. We got moved, they tried to find our spots, walked around the whole floor area just to be put back where we was before. Maybe they should section the floor better. But over all we enjoyed the concert.

  • Best time ever!!
