  • Progressive Bluegrass at it’s best.

by GLD on 2/10/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Being a long time fan of Sam Bush, I expected an eclectic mix of music and he did not disappoint. His band is equally talented. I had not seen the opening group before this show. The Tray Wellington band was very good as well. All in all an enjoyable show.

  • Great night of music

by RedMojo on 2/10/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Sam and the band were better than I expected. Every member is talented. Music was great mixed with some humor. Will see Sam again.

  • Amazing musicians

by Illinois Boy on 2/10/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Both the opening act and the Sam Bush Band were amazingly talented musicians. I'm not a big bluegrass fan but, these bands were fun to watch and hear. Live music is great. Good value, too!

  • Great show

by SteveJulie on 11/5/23Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Enjoyed it immensely, great musicianship. I think the Bijou Theater is the best venue in Knoxville especially for this type of music. Can't wait for Rodney Crowell in December.

  • Amazing show.

by Pixie on 11/5/23Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Sam Bush is always amazing, such a great talent, and full of positive energy. The other band members have so much talent they could do there own show. Fun all the way. The Bijou is wonderful . If you ever get a chance to see this show grab a friend and you will have a great time.

  • Newgrass

    by KC on 1/29/23Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible musicians. Feel lucky to have seen them.

  • The music was excellent. The ticketing was a fleecing.

    by Ted on 1/29/23Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Rating is for the music and sound. The music was as great as I knew it would be. The sound was better that I believed was possible at the Rialto! But Ticketmaster marred the total experience by adding nearly $20 to the price of each ticket and providing no worthy benefit in return. I'll deal directly with the venue next time.

  • Sam is a Beast

by Brad on 11/18/22Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Sam Bush is still at the top of his game and surrounds himself with incredible musicians. Great to hear him in one of the best small theaters in the country.

  • Sam Bush

by Mel on 11/14/22Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed the music. His band was well balanced. I especially enjoyed the drummer! Phenomenal player! Will never get balcony seats again at this venue due to NO legroom or room for feet due to layout. ( I am 5'10" and have large feet) I usually get main floor seats but thought I would try the balcony. Beautiful stage view, but OUCH!!

  • Great Concert

by David on 11/14/22Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to the Bijou for concerts on three different occasions - Son Volt, Gaelic Storm, and the Sam Bush Band. Each was a different musical genre and a unique experience. The sound mix and volume for Son Volt was ridiculously awful - distorted and too loud. The sound for Gaelic Storm was much better, but could have been mixed to enhance the talent of the musicians and lyrics of the songs. Sam Bush was different. The band is extraordinary (as you would expect), enthusiastic (as was the audience), and the sound was almost perfect. If you haven't seen Sam Bush, find the nearest concert and enjoy 5 of the best players you'll ever hear!

  • Sam Bush: High Energy musicianship!

by DSPL on 11/14/22Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Sam Bush at his "usual" high-energy spirit... jamming, and spreading joy with his great, high-powered band! Always a delight to see Sam Bush and his out-of-this world mandolin playing!

  • May have been the best ever!

by Nancy on 11/14/22Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Ticketing was a breeze. Smaller venue of the Bijou was perfect for the WDVX Birthday Bash. The Sam Bush Band lit up the place with amazing musical artistry and spot-on vocals.

  • I'm sure it was wonderful

by Matchesmon on 11/14/22Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I didn't make the sold out show, health problems. I love the new album.

  • Sam the Man

by Eunie on 3/22/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

What a thrill to experience SamBush in a smaller setting. He was so friendly & shared his exceptional musical talent, & having fun. A legend!!

  • High Energy Sam

by Steve on 3/19/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Never one to be pinned down in a genre, Sam plays Newgrass, Bluegrass, and some progressive rock and Americana music. Sam is the energizer bunny with a mandolin.

  • A great night of music with one of the best ever!

by Fanofbluegrass on 3/19/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

It was my first time ever at Ludlow garage. The venue was incredible, the sound was impeccable, and Sam and his band knocked it out of the park! It was my first time seeing “the Father of New Grass” live. Sam didn’t disappoint!

  • Awesome Bush!

by Weav on 3/19/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great. Sam and the other outstanding musicians played well over 2 hours and performed wonderfully. Sam kept the crowd entertained in-between songs with his witty comments and had the audience loving all the interactions. The sound and acoustics of the Ludlow Garage venue were perfect for the concert.

  • great performance by Sam Bush

by KP on 3/9/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 4 out of 5

Loved everything about the concert from the opening act to the closing numbers. The only thing that could be better is turn down the volume a little. In a venue like the Avalon, people are listening and not talking so the volume could definitely come down some. Thanks for a great night!

  • Great Concert

by PMGibson on 3/8/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 5 out of 5

We went only because Sam is a friend of our brother-in-law who lives in WV. We are not really bluegrass fans, but thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Sam was really nice person. Even the opening act, Stray Grass, was great. Sure glad we went.
