Sam Bush and his band are absolutely amazing!! Sam is so full of energy and it's all positive! Sam is legend and is one of the best mandolinist, as well as fiddler ever! Every show is different and they don't use the brakes! Sam and the boys have a huge library to select from so expect variety! Sam has huge collection of songs he has written over the years and mixes in some killer covers from other bluegrass legends, especially John Hartford! Wes Corbett on banjo deserves mention as well as Mojo on guitar, Todd Parks on bass and Chris Brown on drums! they are all very talented! Iron City is my least favorite venue in Bham but I will never miss a Sam show that is within 4 hours of me...period!
Sam did a great show, as usual. The sound was great. The venue was spacious. Sam’s energy was above par. Always a great time.
What a time! There should have been a packed house with the amount of skill and experience on that stage. The opener the Cody Sisters was wholesome and skillful, and The Sam Bush band was everything I expected and more. Killer solo’s, tight vocal harmonies, and even Bill Monroe stories, what more could you ask for? It’s really hard to believe that Sam is 71 years old when you see him on stage. I’ll never forget it
Sam the Man and band put out a high energy, high value 1.75 hour set. I was thrilled with Bush’s fiddle and electric guitar work and, of course, the mandolin.
Great show in every way! Incredible crowd response, fantastic opening act and then Sam and gang knocked the roof off. All the pickin’ and grinning’ you could ask for.
I have seen Sam and a variety of his band line ups over the years. I always enjoy his singing and playing coupled with top notch supporting musicians. The show at the Avalon in Grand Junction lacked continuity and he finished the evening with an electric medley which was good but didn't really fit the rest of the evening. It felt like the band was just going through the motions. No real energy or enthusiasm. I will see Sam again nonetheless!
As always! The whole band is talented, and I love the upbeat nature of the songs and attitude of the band. Sam Bush makes you feel like you've known him forever.
Its was amazing! All of the staff were great with everything!
Such a wonderful performance. Sam plays his heart out every song. Amazing show!!!
