  • Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder

by Trish on 9/13/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

FABULOUS! These men are so talented and stood for 1.5 hours without a break to entertain an almost packed house. I could have listened to them all night!! Brown County Music Center is a great venue. I really enjoy going to events here.

  • Happy Fan

by Bluegrass Becky on 9/13/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent facilities all around, from parking to restroom. My friend and I had a great time taking photos before the start of the concert out in the lobby. We arrived early to find our seats, which were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. View of the stage and sound was just right. And of course Ricky and Kentucky Thunder were fabulous!

  • Stop the sermon

by Captscrew on 9/13/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 1 out of 5

I paid to see you sing your music not preach to me! Don’t push your views on me just play your music! What was a good show at the start turned into a Sunday service! Made no sense half the crowd was drinking and you want to preach to them! Not needed or wanted!

  • Awesome Musicians

by RAW306 on 9/12/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I would go to see him and his band every time they come to the Brown County Music Center!!! Music selections, sound system and venue are perfection!!! I LOVE Ricky Skaggs WHITE hair also! 💜

  • More music, less preaching

by Jamesgang on 9/12/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Really enjoyed the music until they stopped the show for 10 minutes or more so one of them could testify as to how god is the way to beat addiction. gods plan, blah blah. No mention of how god failed to protect those 3000 plus from flood and earthquakes-- or perhaps that was his plan? Took the air out of the concert.

  • Bluegrass at its very best!!

by Missy on 9/12/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We had never been to a concert at the Brown County Music Center. It was an easy process, and a beautiful venue. My Husband and I had a date night out to see Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. WOW!!! We've been around Bluegrass music all our life, and I can honestly say, as much as I've listened to Ricky Skaggs, and as much as I already loved him growing up, I had never seen him in concert. I have one word to describe the concert, AWESOME!! Vocals spot on, and those musicians, TOP NOTCH!!! We will be back!!

  • Great concert, didn't want it to end

by DF on 9/12/23Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder was an amazing show that I didn't want to end. The Brown Co Music Center is a great venue for a concert with not a bad seat. One of the band members shared his history of drug and alcohol abuse that was a great message but it seemed to go on too long. I appreciated all he went through to get where he is but I felt it took the excitement away from the audience.

  • Amazing

by Music lover on 6/22/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

A night with the music of Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder was unbelievable. The musicianship and the talent of Ricky Skaggs made for a night of wonderful Bluegrass music. Kentucky Thunder play the mandolin is a sight to see. I've never seen a hand move so fast. He is the true Master of the Mandolin!!! Looking forward to when we'll see him again and we'll make sure to bring the grandkids!!!!!!!

    by RyanCool on 6/19/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a great concert. Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder were just amazing. I would highly recommend seeing them in concert.

  • Good show

by Mike Liechty on 6/12/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

Ricky Scaggs and his band were as good as expected. However, the local opening act - well I could have done without it. Just have the main act - no reason for opening acts if they are local bands.

  • Fabulous show!

    by C. E. on 6/12/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

From the first note to the last, the instrumentals, vocals and harmonies were spot on! Ricky has assembled a truly gifted group of musicians.

  • One of the Best Bluegrass Concerts in an Amazing Venue

by ChelseaBald on 6/12/23Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center - ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

Ricky Skaggs and his band were flawless. The music was incredible. Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center is quaint with fantastic acoustics. Can't wait to see another show there!

  • Awesome talent

by Butch on 5/29/23Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 5 out of 5

Went to see Ricky Skaggs and his band almost by accident. Was truly an awesome concert. Ricky was a ton of fun with his humor and all of the band were incredibly talented. Would certainly go again. Having the concert in the building where the Louisiana Hayride was made it even better.

  • Excellent concert.

by Hanna on 5/28/23Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 5 out of 5

1 of the best concerts i've been too. Never have been a big fan of blue grass but now i am. Would go back and hear them again if they come back. Thanks.

  • Stellar Performance

by Sidr on 5/28/23Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 5 out of 5

Top notch bluegrass show. The musicianship was as good as you will find!

  • Great as expected!!

by Curtis on 5/28/23Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 5 out of 5

Ricky sounded great. The band was out of this world. Didn’t expect to see Jake Workman on lead guitar or Mike Rogers on rhythm. Loved the song Paradise by Dennis Parker. An opening act was not necessary. Would have preferred Ricky to start at 8:00. Very disappointed in the crowd. It was Thursday and another big event was going on, but Shreveport could have done better. As the consummate professional he is, Ricky and Kentucky Thunder gave us a great show as if there were 5000 in the audience.
