Rallycross was a blast to watch

    by hjb7 on 8/1/16RFK Stadium Lot 6 - Washington

The whole experience was great with great racing, up close opportunities with the cars, pit crews and drivers. If you like fast cars and exciting close up racing this is your venue. I loved watching the "Ham" (Cabot Bigham) win his first race and Tanner Foust fight for his third place finish.

    Great action in D.C.

    by ftdwiw09 on 9/12/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

The racing and action was exciting and fun to watch. Lots of changes to this year's event compared to last year's inaugural event, the biggest of which was the track layout. Plus: more places to view the action for general admission fans, as the track area seemed noticeably larger, including a shaded area under the Metro track. Minus: The jump was very far away from any spectator viewpoints, made it difficult to get a good action shot of the cars in mid-air. Another added bonus this year: complimentary waffles (with all the fixings!) from main sponsor VW- yes FREE WAFFLES, what else do I need to say..!?! ;) Also like the fact that everyone can easily roam the pit area, just need to watch out for the ever-present race car traffic!

Love rallycross but please improve seat views...

    by KF55 on 8/19/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

I'm a huge rallycross fan - I keep up with the sport and watch every race. I attended the 2014 DC race and thought the track was great for watching the race - you could see most of the track no matter where you sat. The 2015 track was longer and more spread out, with seating condensed to just a few sections, none of which gave you a good view of the majority of the track. If the same track is used next year, I'd recommend adding seating near the jump and joker lane to give fans a view of the racing for a longer time each lap. The 2014 event also had way better promotion: a mobile app with race info, better information on seating, etc. That all said, we had fun - got to chat with drivers/teams, see the cars up close, and rallycross is hard to beat for intense racing action.

    RallyCross 2015

by SlotCarRacer on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

I was somewhat disappointed to find that Subaru Team USA was not present at DC. I came down wearing my Subaru Rally-Cross T-Shirt. The sun beating down on the pavement made the day very difficult to endure. I and my group decided to leave at 1:30 PM. The food was a little on the pricey side. Slice pizza wasn't too bad, but my sister spent $50.00 during the day for food on herself, my niece, and my niece's little fellow. I bought some pizza for the little fellow and myself. There should have been some Gatorade for sale to replace electrolytes and prevent dehydration. It would have been good to have shade over the grandstands or have a large tent area with chairs to get out of the sun. The entry gate should have been around on the other side of the stadium so the tree shaded bank on the East side of the stadium could also be used for viewing the race. There was a cover over the chain link fence that could have been removed under those circumstances. It seems like the spectators had a lower priority than the racing.

Better track than last year, better racing as well

    by JBIALLAS74 on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Still getting used to this new form of racing event but have been pleasantly surprised at both events I have gone to, both last years DC race and again this years at a different parking lot at RFK. I know its hard to set up such a large event in a parking lot and for the most part they did a good job with what they had to work with. A few more food options and maybe not as airport like pricing for food and especially non alcoholic drinks would be a good start. The event itself was very enjoyable and for the most part the drivers were very easy to talk to at the friday meet and greet they had. One down side was you didn't offer mobile ticketing on cell phones. Other than that it was good overall.

Fun, exciting, well worth it. Can't wait for next year's races. GA seating gave us the chance to view the races from different locations instead of being stuck with ther same view all the time. The open paddock is great.

    Kind of better last year

by Munkeydub on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

This year, the set-up area had moved. The track itself was nice and long so there was more race-time. I was a little disappointed at where the stands were located. The two General Admissions stands were located in strange places in relation to the track. The jump was on the other side of the track, and so was the Joker Lane. I heard a lot of prior-year attendees state the same disappointment. Oh, one thing that irritated me was the background music that played while the commentators were voicing the race. It often was as loud, or louder than them and I couldn't hear them. Other than that, I love the open pits and the up-close action.

Red Bull GRC in Washington, DC - Worth the trip

by Conetoy on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Having seen a few Red Bull GRC events televised, I figured it would be worth the trip to Washington DC with some friends to check this out live. It was a well organized event, the racing was exactly what I expected, and I certainly had a good time. I would have preferred more shaded areas, as the August heat and sun can be pretty brutal, and the seating was average at best. I will likely return, but I probably would not spend the extra $10 on the "Preferred" seating in the future.

    Redbull Rally Cross

    by Millie93 on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

It was a great event, lots of fun. Very hot day, not lots of shade, would recommend lots of sunscreen and a hat. Overall had an amazing time.

    Live GRC is awesome

by Prestone on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Watching GRC live in person is like no other form of racing. The competition is awesome, the car control is unbelievable.

    Great event

by TurboShuma on 8/18/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Great event, heading in the right direction. VIP seating is a joke and a waste of extra money; there was only one bleacher and not in a disirable location, we end up seating in genearl emision.

    Great racer

    by T43C on 8/17/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Global Rally Cross is exciting and fun to watch. Its really different and fun in person. my only disappointment is that they only had one screen. I wish they had more screens so that it was easier to keep track of what was going on and a countdown to the next race. I was in a grand stand I really liked but I thought most were in poor places where they had a limited view of the track.

    Big improvements from last year

    by Flat4fun on 8/17/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Even though I am a HUGE Subaru fan, and they did not show up, I had a good time! The track was much better than last year and the views from the stands were also better. Great racing, weather, cars, and pits. Love that you can watch the crew working on the cars between heats etc..

    Go General Admission

by Vesco on 8/17/15RFK Stadium Lot 8 - Washington

Fool me twice, Preferred Seating was way oversold with none available Saturday. Ended up sitting in General Admission which had lots of open seats. Don't ever waste money on VIP, you get nothing. Autograph session should have been early not at 7PM.

    Coldplay was unforgettable!!!

by sacrebleu on 11/11/14The LINQ - Las Vegas

Good field, good action whilst the cars were on the course. Too much lag between heats and I don't even have ADD. Nearly fell asleep. Enjoyed the paddock.

Too slow paced. Too much time between heats

by geezertb on 11/11/14The LINQ - Las Vegas

I was really disappointed in the wait times between heats and races, especially towards the finals. I did enjoy walking around the paddock. There should be taller seating to be able to see more of the track. At NASCAR races, we can see the whole track and better keep up with the action.

    Redbullgrc got down hard

by Evilevo9 on 11/10/14The LINQ - Las Vegas

Man everything you wanted to see happen in a race went down. Cars bashing into eachother to get the hole shot, spin outs and tires flying. Not to mention watching these guys catch some air. Watching ken block and the others drive was amazing can't wait to see next year

Venue not great for track viewing

by Anonymous on 11/9/14The LINQ - Las Vegas

I was really excited about going to this event, unfortunately my expectations were not met. The seating did not allow for good viewing of the race and the 55 minutes of waiting between the heat races and lcq was unbearable also delay between lights and super car final. Last year at Mandalay much better.

A lot of fun for $50.

by FyuseApp on 11/9/14The LINQ - Las Vegas

The GRC season final in Vegas was a blast. It was an all-day event, if you wish to be there for the entire thing. The races are awesome, but besides that, my favorite part was walking around the paddock and seeing all the drivers, mechanics, and racecars in person. You could really close up and even talk to the mechanics. The cars themselves are a spectacle to behold.
