PURITY RING IN CONCERT:
Canadian electro pop duo Purity Ring deftly combines soaring melodies and shimmering atmospherics to create an etheral soundworld that consistely captivates ticket buyers. Frontwoman Megan James forms a direct connection with her audience in concert, relating tales of heartbreak with her sincere and pristine vocals. Producer Corin Roddick mans the swirling synths and blossoming basslines, creating a rich tapestry for James’ voice to float above. In addition to their carefully crafted interplay, the group also adorns the stage with illuminated decorations that move along to the melody. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Purity Ring’s rise to underground success has been on fast forward since they formed. Though vocalist Megan James and producer Corin Roddick befriended each other while playing high school gigs in Edmonton, Canada, they didn’t officially collaborate until they both joined the band Born Gold in 2010. While on the road, Roddick began experimenting with electronic productions as a side project, eventually asking James to sing on a track. Thus, Purity Ring was born as the two bounced demos back and forth via email over the following year. Their 2012 debut Shrines struck an instant chord with audiences and led to an extensive introductory tour. The nonstop performing paid off, enabling them to take the next step and enter a dedicated recording studio for the first time in 2014. The resulting album, 2015’s Another Eternity, built upon the strengths of its predecessor and solidified Purity Ring as one of the most promising young bands, both for their stellar recorded output as well as their visually stunning live shows.
I've loved Purity Ring since their Shrines era. I was supposed to see them in SD, but the pandemic hit and I couldn't. 2 years and a whole move later, I was able to catch them in LA. So happy I got to go - 200% worth the wait!
Purity Ring puts on quite an incredible performance. The vocals alone are amazing and she sounds like an angel. I highly recommend checking them out if you get a chance. I will definitely be seeing them live again.

Best concert this year, so much energy, such great music.
Purity Ring flawlessly executed the most stimulating visual and auditory experiences of my life. Megan and Corrin obliterated my expectations in the most magnificent way and I walked away from the venue filled with wonder and inspiration. It took three years to use these tickets and it was well worth the wake. Once I got home, I cried until my body ached.
Purity Ring had amazing visuals and the sound quality was great. The combination of the visuals and the music made it feel very immersive.
This was a dream come true. Traveled all way through from Mexico City. Purity Ring has the best show, vibe and concept from any underground band out there. Wish they were more popular.
Singer wore a mask for the entire performance which made her voice sound muffled. If she is that worried about COVID then she just shouldn't tour.

I saw them in Nashville and they were so amazing! I've been to plenty of concerts before, but none that truly enhanced the music with visuals like Purity Ring did. I brought a friend who had never heard any of their songs before, and he loved the show too! Will definitely be watching every show I can from them in the future.
Visuals were amazing, sound was crystal clear and the energy was electric. What a great concert, the concept is so cool and unique, her voice was soul-entering and the music was even better than expected. Can’t wait to see Purity Ring again !!
This show was pretty good, the visuals and sound were great, but DAMN was the intermission between the opener and the headliner long. We got there a little late, just as the opener was ending, and it was over half an hour til the headliner went on.
Like I said, Purity Ring never disappoints. But the real mvp’s we’re the venue and staff. They are the nicest people I’ve ever met for an event ever. They were handing out water for everyone near the front. They were so kind.
The visuals were absolutely out of this world. They didn't miss a beat with the music. It was captivating and beautiful in every way. I danced my butt off. great show!

The first time I saw Purity Ring was at a small event in Miami. It was 2012 and the band hadn’t reached as much popularity, so it was me and about 25 other people. To have seen them 10 years later, it was incredible to witness how much their production has grown and attention to detail has persisted. Each act was transitioned perfectly. It was almost like watching a Cirque du Soleil production. Every song sounded so amazing. This band is seriously so underrated and I can’t wait to see them again!
