Potted Potter at The Magic Attic at Bally's Las Vegas
Talk about magic!
British comedy actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner have distilled all 4,200 pages of J. K. Rowling's seven Harry Potter novels into one brilliantly hilarious 70-minute show. Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience is a lovably loopy two-person performance in which a Potter know-it-all teams up with a rebellious Harry newbie to create a show about — you guessed it — Harry Potter
Clarkson and Turner conceived the show in 2005 as a five-minute sidewalk synopsis to amuse customers queued up for Rowling's sixth Harry novel. They expanded it to an hour the following year and opened at Edinburgh's Zoo Southside. European tours ensued, and in 2012 Potted Potter was nominated for two Olivier Awards, the highest honor in British theater. The show made its off-Broadway debut the same year and has since toured all over the United States and the world. After opening in 2018, the family-friendly Las Vegas production won Best of Last Vegas Awards for Best New Production and Best Value Show.
About the show Potted Potter
One actor channels a bookish Harry in Potted Potter while another plays every other character — including Ron and Hermione, Draco Malfoy, Snape, the Weasleys, Sirius Black, Mad-Eye Moody, Dumbledore and, of course, He Who Must Not Be Named — with wild abandon. Loads of wigs and other goofy props are employed in a nonstop laugh fest that also features a fire-breathing dragon, countless costume changes, brilliant songs, a plethora of props and even a Quidditch match encouraging audience participation (but no brooms, alas).
Accessible to Potter freaks and newbies alike, Potted Potter blends slapstick in the Laurel & Hardy vaudeville tradition with the wildly witty dialogue associated with Monty Python's Flying Circus. "Potting" is a British term for "the art of summarizing something into a digestible form," and, like all the best parodies, Clarkson and Turner's Harry experience is both splendid spoof and heartfelt homage.

The perfect combination of adult humor that wouldn't offend the parents with children present and kids humor that was still greatly appreciated by the adults. Gary and Jeff are brilliantly talented. High energy, witty and FULL of laughter. A perfect show.
This was a great show for both kids and adults alike...even if you haven't read the books or seen the movies.
It was a very funny show. The actors were very good at interacting with the audience.
Absolutely fantastic. Show was hilarious, age appropriate for children but adults will have a blast as well. Brilliant :)
This was really fun and appropriate for kids from 5 or 6 to teenagers. All the parents had fun, too.!
I took 4 of my grandchildren ranging in age 8 to 13, to see the Potted Potter. Their parents also attended. It was awesome! Ever one of us completely enjoyed the show! The children were actually on the edge of their seats and were laughing out loud. I love the way the show includes the audience in the preformance.
We thoroughly enjoyed the show -- fast, clever, and funny -- and not a single curse word in the whole show. Imagine that!! Anyone who is into the Harry Potter scene should check out this show if it comes to their town. Great job Dan & Jeff!
This was the best two man show I've ever seen. I brought my six and seven year old kids and they laughed so hard it shook the seats, but I was laughing harder
Great audience interaction. Great for Harry Potter fans and for those who know very little about it.
My stomach hurt from laughing so much, this show should not be missed. You have not seen "Harry Potter" until you've seen Jeff and Dan's take on the Wizarding World.
My wife and I weren't sure what to expect, but it was well worth seeing. Truly funny!
Dan and Jeff did a great job of being entertaining, while hitting the high-lights from all 7 books. Side jokes about other fantasy series and pop-culture were sprinkled in smoothly. At times it seemed as though they were ad-libbing, and those were some of the most funny parts of the show. I highly recommend going to see this show. The City Theater is a perfect location to see this show, being relatively small allowed everyone to be close to the stage.
So funny! Even people who haven't read the books/seen the movies will love this show!
Show was very funny!! Would definitely recommend to everyone. Very appropriate for all ages
Great show and venue. Laughed the entire time. The actors are very talented and do a great job interacting with the audience. I would recommend this show to anyone that is familiar with the Harry Potter series.
Was incredibly funny. My family and I loved it. Everyone needs to see this.
i went to Potted Potter with my friend and we had an amazing time. We both love Harry Potter and to be able to see a show all about Harry Potter was more than we could of asked for. i would recommend this show for any person who enjoys Harry Potter.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I have to say this show was brilliantly done. Dan & Jeff have an amazing amount of energy and they were hilarious. Something about the devil horns and draggi9ng the stuffed "NAGINI" around makes me laugh every time I think of it.Well done and i will recommend this show to friends!
I took my sons, 16 and 14 and we all really enjoyed the show! You don't have to be die hard Harry Potter fans to enjoy the humor. We laughed throughout the entire performance. There were some hilarious improvised moments too that made the show seem fresh and current. We saw young children dressed in costume, as well as, adults and older theatre goers. Everyone had a blast. I would highly recommend seeing this show.
