About

PJ Morton is a soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer based in New Orleans. He is a 5x GRAMMY-winner and 20x GRAMMY nominee who has earned numerous nominations for BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, in addition to selling out countless shows at historic venues like the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center and others around the world. On top of running his own record label (Morton Records) and serving as Maroon 5's full-time keyboardist for the past 12+ years, he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba, Jill Scott and many others.

In 2024, PJ Morton will become the first Black composer to ever write an original song for a Disney attraction - Tiana's Bayou Adventure, coming soon to Disneyland and Disney World. He will also release an album entirely written, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa, and publish a new book titled Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Arriving November 12th via Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, the memoir sees him recounting and reflecting upon a trailblazing path that continues to defy expectations and straddle the tensions of music and faith, race and culture, expression and identity.

by Britt on 6/22/22House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen PJ Morton live several times over the last 5 years and he has not had a single bad show, IMO. I love his music and the live experience with the talent he and his band has is always wonderful. Don't read this whole review and not buy a ticket....You're missing out!

  • GREAT

by Friendz on 6/22/22House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I NEVER miss a PJ concert and it gets better and better every year! I had a WONDERFUL TIME! The only issue I can think of was the big screens on each side were very fuzzy and because we were on top in the opera area it was not viewable on the screens! It took our food a long time to come out, but no complaints, it was a good experience.

  • Great Show

by Detroitvenum on 6/22/22House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

PJ didn’t take the stage until 2 hours after the showtime however once he did he put on a great show and took us all to church.

  • Wish I could catch more dates

by Anubis1934 on 6/20/22House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first time that I’ve been able to see PJ in concert live and needless to say he did not disappoint!! From the opening DJ to the main event it was a good time all together. Was the first time that I’ve had to stand for a concert but once everything got started it was a party! Maybe next time if he ask for singers in the crowd I’ll have enough confidence to go ahead and sing for him. Love your music PJ!!

  • Nice

by Shawn on 6/20/22House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the show The mic and speaker system was not the best at all. House of blues needs to invest in a better system PJ Morton makes great music, anyone listening for the first time would not have agreed die to the muffled sound. I was not happy with having to stand It should be stated VERY clear that floor tix are standing only.
