PJ Morton is a soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer based in New Orleans. He is a 5x GRAMMY-winner and 20x GRAMMY nominee who has earned numerous nominations for BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, in addition to selling out countless shows at historic venues like the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center and others around the world. On top of running his own record label (Morton Records) and serving as Maroon 5's full-time keyboardist for the past 12+ years, he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba, Jill Scott and many others.
In 2024, PJ Morton will become the first Black composer to ever write an original song for a Disney attraction - Tiana's Bayou Adventure, coming soon to Disneyland and Disney World. He will also release an album entirely written, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa, and publish a new book titled Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Arriving November 12th via Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, the memoir sees him recounting and reflecting upon a trailblazing path that continues to defy expectations and straddle the tensions of music and faith, race and culture, expression and identity.
From Dj AriesSpins to PJ Morton and his band, it was just a really great time through and through. I would’ve loved to hear more from the Watch the Sun album but it wonderful hearing some of his older classics. Some of which I didn’t even know. I will definitely be looking forward to future concerts.
Pj’s shows are ALWAYS amazing…but to see him in my hometown again was just out of this world!!!! Him and his band are just timeless! Loved ever single moment of the show. I didn’t want it to end!

The concert was great! Starting with DJ Arie Spins she was awesome. Playing a variety of dance music to get the crowd excited. I enjoyed singing along with everyone. Then, without any down time PJ Morton and his band came on and did several songs. Mostly from the new album Watch the Sun. He also sang some from his other albums. Great crowd participation allowing several audience members to sing. The lighting and sound was great for both artists.
From the sultry and smooth sounds, the whole night flowed perfectly. The DJ set us up and PJ was the icing on the cake. A live band makes all the difference and the band was AMAZING! The Watch The Sun tour was the perfect addition to a hard week. Yes, I traveled to VA for it! Sooooo good!! Thank you PJ!
This was truly one of the best live show experiences I’ve ever had. The attention to detail was phenomenal. PJ and crew have something special. This is the reinvention of Mowtown the world has been waiting for.

From the start with DJ ArieSpins she was amazing and had the whole crowd rocking her entire set. PJ Morton came out and the vibes just continued. Surprise, Surprise Stevie Wonder came out, blew my mind!
PJ and his band were very fun to watch! His voice was incredible and his piano playing was just as good. The horns were spot on and the percussions were amazing too. The only thing that wasn't that great was one of the background singers was often pitchy. Also Stevie Wonder was amazing too!!
He sang all the joints, the warmup DJ was great. PJ brought out THE LEGENDARY STEVIE WONDER!!!

It was sooooooo good! His voice is like butter and the pre show was awesome as well!! Completely entertained and the music quality couldn’t have been better! A true SINGER
All I can say is PJ Morton is truly the live show killer there’s no show like a PJ show
The venue was standard room only. The DJ was awesome and had us all sweating before the show started. PJ gave us a Marvin Gaye vibe with a superb performance.
I was only disappointed when you told me I was paying for a seat and it was a standing ticket only.
PJ’s musical presentation is imbued with everyday philosophy and real-life detail, set to a stirring mix of jazz, soul, blues, and gospel. So proud of how he has maintained his commitment to his uniqueness vs. commercializing his gift. His perseverance has paid off. This past Tuesday night’s show at Sacramento’s Ace of Spades was legendary. Please don’t wait another 10+ years to return to the 916, PJ!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯👍🏾✊🏾🌞 #WatchTheSun
