About

PJ Morton is a soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer based in New Orleans. He is a 5x GRAMMY-winner and 20x GRAMMY nominee who has earned numerous nominations for BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, in addition to selling out countless shows at historic venues like the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center and others around the world. On top of running his own record label (Morton Records) and serving as Maroon 5's full-time keyboardist for the past 12+ years, he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba, Jill Scott and many others.

In 2024, PJ Morton will become the first Black composer to ever write an original song for a Disney attraction - Tiana's Bayou Adventure, coming soon to Disneyland and Disney World. He will also release an album entirely written, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa, and publish a new book titled Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Arriving November 12th via Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, the memoir sees him recounting and reflecting upon a trailblazing path that continues to defy expectations and straddle the tensions of music and faith, race and culture, expression and identity.

    I have seen PJ perform intimate venues with a crowd of less than 100…to see him in front of thousands was just a beautiful experience. He only gets better. What an energetic show! I’m so glad I was able to attend.

    It was an amazing so! PJ did his thing! I was up the entire time singing and dancing. I really enjoyed the opener as well, Charity. She did an amazing job and I’m going to stream her music. Can’t wait until he’s in Detroit again.

    In terms of PJ himself, he never disappoints! This was our 3 concert seeing him and we had traveled from Houston just to see him perform. It was definitely worth the travel and he brought his dad out at the end, which was extra special! I wasn’t too hype about the opening DJ but the overall show was great.

    The concert was AMAZING!!! My 2nd year going with my cousin, and now we have coined this concert as our "Black Friday Tradition"!! It was an entire VIBE!! From beginning to end!!! What better way to celebrate, than in our own city with our very own Dj Arie Spins and PJ Morton!!! Looking forward to next year!!!

    Opening Act DJ was great. PI Morton was very good! Only downside was allowing underage children to attend. Little girl next to us whose parents were inattentive and allowed her to bother us throughout the show. I’d strongly recommend not allowing people to bring kids to what should be an adult evening.

    The atmosphere was such a postive vibe. PJ and his team put on an amazing show. Very intimate you do not need to sit down at a PJ Morton concert you should be on your feet. My daughter and myself really had a good time.

    A fellow concert attendee said that PJ’s live show is an out-of-body experience. I would have to also agree. The show was everything that I knew it would be and more. PJ never disappoints. If I could I would go see him again for the European tour because he’s just that amazing. The band and the background musicians are beyond talented. Watch the Sun Philly show was pure perfection.

    PJ Morton is truly talented and amazing… and his band is INCREDIBLE! I didn’t want the night to end! The mood/ambiance was perfect! PJ and company gave a beautiful mixture of music, good vibes, and church all wrapped up into one! I can tell that PJ really enjoys performing and that matters to me as a fan. Some artist don’t really give good energy, but not PJ! His music really touches my soul. I’ve been a fan for four years and this was the first time that I saw PJ in concert… but it won’t be the last.

    First show at the Fillmore didn’t disappoint!!! Was really nervous that it would be standing room only and loved the space on the side aisles and easy access for food and drinks!!

    From the moment the concert started with DJ Aries Spins to the time the concert ended after the encore performance we enjoyed every minute of it. The venue was nice mainly because we got amazing preferred seating away from the crowd so we could enjoy standing and dancing when we wanted to. We saw PJ in ATL a few months ago and enjoyed that performance as well, but it was standing room only at that venue. All in all, we would definitely see him a 3rd time if we could.
