  • Great but late

    by IceMan8 on 2/22/13The Electric Factory - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

Would have been 5 stars but 30 minutes late coming out. That's bad enough but when almost everyone is standing, it's not fair. I have a feeling this is on Electric Factory but this is an overall rating.

  • Wonderful live performance

by LadyKells on 2/21/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Pentatonix blew me away! They are so talented! A fun show for all ages!

  • Pentatonix is awesome!

by abgorsky on 2/21/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Pentatonix is such a talented group. This was my second time seeing them in concert and they were equally awesome both times.

  • Ridic!

by RunForrestRun on 2/21/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

I already knew how *sick* PTX was, but I didn't *really* know until I heard them live. Wow. Come on, how can you argue with a bass that sings overtones and a beatboxer who plays the cello? SICK. SICK. Unbelievable.

  • Amazing Show!

by JennErin on 2/20/13The National - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

The National was easy to get to from I-95 and parking was close. PTX was amazing and I loved how energetic they were. Definitely worth the money and the drive. my ticket did say that they were featuring a "special guest" but that person/group never performed. The stage and standing room area was intimate but not Over crowded. Once the show was over it was quick and easy to get outside and back to I-95. I will be looking for more shows at the National and can't wait to see PTX again!

  • Pentatonix will not be an "unknown" for long

by MichaelAmir on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

My guest never heard of them and she ended up wanting to take video she was so impressed.

  • Amazing performers, Awful venue

by CAMV on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 3 out of 5

The Pentatonix were absolutely, mind-blowingly fabulous performers. They have great stage personalities, and they are incredibly talented singers. However, the venue was standing-room only general admission, and I am 5'2". I could watch some of the show on the TV's placed around the venue, but when I looked at the stage, all I could see was the back of tall peoples' heads. I loved hearing the Pentatonix live, and I'm glad I could support them in their tour, but I really didn't enjoy my overall experience at the show as much as I hoped.

  • Pentatonix was everything!!!

by Joves on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was sooooo good. We had to wait for an hour and a half before the show started but it was so worth it. I would definitely go and see them again. They were awesome. :)

  • Amazing concert!

by zozo921 on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 4 out of 5

The Pentatonix put on an amazing concert. The venue is standing room only so try to get there early. The Pentatonix did not go on stage until 8:45 and the concert lasted until about 10:15. This puts a whole new meaning to live performances!

  • Pentatonix was Phenomenal!

by AshMacster on 2/20/13The National - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was, I dare say, the best concert I've every been to. The energy was awesome and the music was fantastic. I enjoyed the audience engagement by Pentatonix as well. I would definitely go to the concert again, no hands down. Can't wait for them to come back to VA!!!

  • Okay Show

by packjazz on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 3 out of 5

I loved these guys on The Sing Off, but unfortunately that's the stage on which they truly shine. First, they started about 30 minutes late, which left a bad taste in my mouth from the very start. It's touch waiting an hour and a half in a standing room only theater with a bunch of sweaty preteens. When they finally started, they came on strong and the sound system was rockin...it's amazing that they get so much sound out of only five voices. They played a decent variety of music from the Sing Off and from their album. The absolute treat of the night was when the Kevin Olusola played a few songs by himself on cello while beatboxing! You learn quickly, however, that it's tough to keep a whole show of a cappella songs fresh. After a while, the gimicks got old and the songs got stale. The groups stage presence can use some work too, their choreography and energy seemed phoned in. at times their pitches were off and their between-song banter was unpolished an awkward. I'm not sure they would have won the Sing Off with any of the performances they gave tonight. They could have benefited from an opening act. Not only to help fill the 30 minutes of lateness, but to also help shorten their own set so they didn't feel obligated to fill it with awkward banter and sub-par songs.

  • Great show, but get there early

by Anonymous on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 4 out of 5

Great show and sound, but the venue is poorly laid out for standing only general admission on the upper tier. For bands that sell out, be prepared to get there 3 hours before listed start time if you want a chance of getting any kind of view of the stage. Pentatonix was just sick, as usual.

  • PTX is fun!

by ZekeandCharlie on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 4 out of 5

I'm way too old to stand at a venue for so long, but the show was a lot of fun. Pentatonix (PTX) is a great group and they clearly are enjoying what they're doing.

  • Awesome concert, great talent from every member.

by TheDeeksterThomas on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 4 out of 5

The concert got started a little late (about 40mins past start time). But once they came out they really rocked the house. Each member has a chance to solo and even though they are an acapella group one of the members did Beat box with a cello.

  • Just what I wanted from the concert!

by RNCVA on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

I purchased my tickets way in advance and didn't think to much about arrival time etc. I went with a group of 8 and we arrived at 6:50 for 7:00 doors. I had imagined a 300-500 person crowd in a small, standing room only place, but the line to get in wrapped half way around the block when we got there and all the way around by the time the doors opened at 7:10! Sounds like they sold out and there certainly wasn't any extra space. Sure, the concert started 30/40 minutes late, but it was definitely worth the wait. The sound quality and volume were perfect, Pentatonix was rocking the place for over an hour and a half, and the crowd was jumping, singing and dancing along. Drinks were reasonably priced and everyone left with a pumped up smile on. Great show!

  • most amazing bunch of talent I have ever seen live

by PersianPete on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Dude, these guys are amazing. Everyone was shocked at how these 5 can make music. Each person is so talented individually and together.. they rock!

  • PTX Concert was PHENOMINAL!!

by AcetheWunderkind on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

If you haven't heard of or seen Pentatonix (PTX) live before, you need to go do so. What these five are able to do in making these incredible covers of popular songs without the aid of instruments...it's simply amazing. Not only will you be treated to a great show, but you'll get to see the amazing people they are, and see just how cool the world of a cappella is (and it's never been bigger than it is now, especially after the release of the movie Pitch Perfect). Go see PTX and tell your friends to go with you. You owe it to yourself.

  • by KHC1 on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 4 out of 5

Great performance in a great location. Would have liked to have had actual seats in the house, however. Standing room only was not fun for those of us who are vertically challenged. Would definitely see them again if there were seats.

  • 5 Piece Band of Voices

by 45Purposes on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment they come from behind stage, the bass was bumping, the snare drums were immaculate, and the voices were heavenly. Only thing is, no instruments were involved. Proving that the human voice is the strongest instrument on the body, a show that included a myriad of hits, a sensational percussion section, and even a cello-beatboxing solo had my wife and I (lovers of the Sing-Off) on our feet for over an hour with ZERO complaints!

  • by Tixnchix on 2/20/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Exciting from beginning to end! Opening acts would've been cool while we were waiting for the show to start, but the show itself was worth the wait!
