About

MercyMe has been releasing hits in the Christian rock genre since 2001, when "I Can Only Imagine" caught the attention of the public and became the most requested song on a mainstream station in Texas. Despite the band's success on conventional radio stations, the majority of ticket buyers expect MercyMe's concert tours to be religion oriented, and they are not disappointed. Fans who attended the Rock & Worship Roadshow in 2013 described the tour as uplifting and filled with spiritual hits that included "Word of God Speak,” “All of Creation” and "You Don’t Care At All." The latter song is from the 2012 album The Hurt & the Healer, which reached No. 1 on the Christian Albums Billboard chart.

Millard formed MercyMe with Jim Bryson and Mike Scheuchzer in Oklahoma, and after releasing independently, MercyMe signed with INO Records in 2001. Their first album earned the 2x Platinum certification from the RIAA after "I Can Only Imagine" won two Dove Awards. On 2002's Spoken For, which peaked at No. 2 on the Christian Albums chart, the title track was the most successful. 2004's Undone brought with it hits like "Here with Me," "Homesick" and "In the Blink of an Eye." 2006's Coming Up to Breathe was nominated for a Grammy, due to hit singles like "Bring the Rain," "So Long Self" and "Hold Fast." All That Is Within Me was released in 2007, with "God With Us" reaching No. 1 on the Christian Songs Billboard chart. 2010 saw the release of The Generous Mr. Lovewell, while 2012's The Hurt & The Healer featured "You Are I Am" and the title track as the most popular songs. MercyMe has plans to continue its tour for The Hurt & the Healer album in 2014.

    More than I hoped for

by Matt on 4/25/24Food City Center - Knoxville

Seeing Mercy Me with my sons was a positive memorable experience in and of itself. We were fortunate to hear many of the favorites while hearing a few newer songs. There were a couple more I would've liked to have heard, but they have so many songs I like, I didn't expect to hear them all. As a bonus, we saw an entertaining artist who was new to us (David Leonard) and got to hear another favorite in Newsboys! While we live in the Nashville area and would have preferred somewhere closer, this was still a wonderful memory to have made with my kids!

    Loved the concert

by Great show on 4/24/24Heritage Bank Center - Cincinnati

Loved the concert. Always a great time. One day the venue will take into consideration that adults are not the size of 4 year olds and give the adults a little more room between the seats. Even just 1 more inch would have been better than right up on top of each other. We were fortunate enough to have the space because the row was not sold out. Thanks for a great time

Truly The Greatest Show on Earth

by Old Timers on 4/24/24Heritage Bank Center - Cincinnati

The venue was the perfect size and there wasn’t a “bad” seat in the house. We brought ear plugs (past concert experience's) and we didn’t even need them. The sound was comfortable for listening. The snack/food/merch vendors were all good choices to choose from. There wasn’t a “skunk” smell anywhere-IYKYK -what I mean. The Reds game was at the same time and we thought we’d be getting out at the same time and traffic would be a problem. We actually let out later than the game so, it really wasn't. The opening act was a chance to hear someone new. He was country styled flavor and entertaining. The Newsboy always rock on hard🙌🏻.We love their old and new stuff. Mercy Me was the Cherry on top! It felt like praise and worship with the old and new songs! The added techno features really helped to enhance the whole experience for us. The only “minus” for us was how long the intermission was. The bands had an agenda/platform and wanted to bring attention to the “International Child” program which was a great way to do that, but it just seemed to go on far too long. We really enjoyed the overall experience and can’t wait for more Christian bands to play here!
