About

Pentatonix are a three-time Grammy Award-winning a cappella group from Arlington, Texas. Their breakthrough came when they won the third season of NBC’s The Sing-Off in 2011, and they gained further recognition by uploading videos(Opens in new tab) to their YouTube channel. The quintet has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, with two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200: Pentatonix (2015) and the platinum-certified A Pentatonix Christmas (2016). Consisting of singers Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kristin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee, Pentatonix have been invited to perform everywhere from The White House to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. They’ve collaborated with artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Lindsey Stirling, and performed with Dolly Parton on her classic hit “Jolene,” which earned Pentatonix a Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2017. The talented singers regularly perform in sold-out arenas worldwide, and have toured with acts like Kelly Clarkson, Rachel Platten and Echosmith.

    This a cappella group won the third and last season of the Sing Off on NBC. Since then, they have done their magic with music on YouTube and have gone on tour. We were so excited to see them in person, I for one was curious to find out how much, if any, of their sound was different then on TV. Turns out, in person they are even better. It's incredible the sound that comes out of these 5 voices, and their talent for remixing new music into even better music is amazing. I can't wait to see what the future brings for this group! The doors opened at 7, the tickets said the event would start at 7:30. It was 9PM before Pentatonix took the stage. I assume was the Revolutions interest in selling more alcohol on a Tuesday night, to keep us waiting for so long. Irritating. The short opening act was a nice guy but songs were slow and depressing.

    They were the bomb!! Didn't start playing until 9:00 p.m., and no seating, so couldn't stand so had to sit on ashtray stand. I'm older and not used to not having seating!! Need seating!! Never been to Revolution before, but didn't want to miss the group, so toughed it out! They were soooooo good, I would go over and over to see them!! They were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The sound mix for the Pentatonix show at Revolution was way too bass and beat box heavy. This overpowered the other three singers in the group and made for tough listening, especially early on. BUT WE STILL LOVE YOU PENTATONIX!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Even better in person. These guys are the most ridiculous group out there. Have never heard accapella like the way they do it. Avi's bass literally rattles glassware. Kevin is amazing with his noises (and he's an even better cellist and sax player). Scott is a powerhouse. Mitch has crazy range. Kirstie is awesome and needs more credit. Love them and can't wait to hear more new music from them!

    I brought a friend who didn't know them so I would recommend Pentatonix to anyone who loves music and these five can really perform it with their gifted talent. From the moment they came on stage, I was starstruck and loving every minute of their performance. I loved the venue, we were seated right up front and weren't sorry that we did. Pentatonix was a wonder to behold for their talent was AMAZING. They will go far and the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill accommodated our every need and the meet and greet that was arranged afterwards was the answer to my dreams.

    I got the tickets for my daughter's birthday. Both my daughters are huge fans. I must say I have been won over by the band. It was just really really good.. they are so talented and would definitely see them again. Only downside was the poor setup for the meet and greet and unfortunately we weren't able to stay because it was a schhol nite. But loved their personalities and find myself now looking for their videos on youtube.
