About

Patty Griffin is among the most consequential singer-songwriters of her generation, a quintessentially American artist whose wide-ranging canon incisively explores the intimate moments and universal emotions that bind us together.

Over two decades, the 2x GRAMMY Award winner - and 7x nominee - and Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement award winner, has crafted a remarkable body of work in progress that prompted the New York Times to hail her for "[writing] cameo-carved songs that create complete emotional portraits of specific people...[her] songs have independent lives that continue in your head when the music ends."

2019 saw the acclaimed release of the renowned artist's GRAMMY Award-winning 10th studio recording, PATTY GRIFFIN. One of the most deeply personal recordings of Griffin's remarkable two-decade career and first-ever eponymous LP, PATTY GRIFFIN made a top 5 debut on Billboard's "Independent Albums" chart amidst unprecedented worldwide acclaim, and later, a prestigious GRAMMY Award for "Best Folk Album."

Griffin's new album, CROWN OF ROSES, is a deeply personal and introspective work that explores themes of identity, nature, family, and womanhood. Emerging from a creative drought during the pandemic, Griffin found herself re-evaluating the stories she'd long told herself. The result is an eight-track collection that is both sparse and emotionally rich, blending folk, Americana, and blues. With CROWN OF ROSES, Griffin offers a record that's both grounded and transcendent -- one that invites listeners to release old narratives, embrace new truths, and stay truly alive while they're here. Having crafted a rich catalog that chronicles love and death, heartache and joy, connection and detachment, Patty Griffin continues to push her art forward, as always imbuing every effort with compassion and craft, uncanny perception, and ever-increasing ingenuity.

  • Love Patty

by Stopthemovie on 2/7/23Scottish Rite Auditorium - CollingswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue to see Patty, I’ve been there before a few years before. Her opening act was Raul Mallow and he was excellent. Patty and her partners played their hearts out. My wife and daughter enjoyed it as well.

  • Patty Griffin Concert

by Chingy Gingy on 2/7/23Scottish Rite Auditorium - CollingswoodRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was good. I would have given 5 stars but she didn't play that long.

  • Raul Malo and Patty Griffin

by Lee on 2/7/23Scottish Rite Auditorium - CollingswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Always wonderful to see live music, especially in the beautiful Collingswood Scottish Rite Auditorium. A great evening with a packed house.

  • Patty and Raul at the Scottish Rite were awesome!

by Howard on 2/7/23Scottish Rite Auditorium - CollingswoodRating: 5 out of 5

My now adult daughter and I have seen Patty Griffin three separate times at what has become my single favorite South Jersey venue to see any musical artist preform; the Scottish Rite Auditorium (SRA) in Collingswood, New Jersey. The SRA is acoustically perfect, and the character and history of the concert space is inspiring for both the audience and artist. The artists that perform at the SRA play better and the audience hears better. And you can now take your beer and wine into the show with you!

  • Raul Malo - the opening act???

by the pool's in but the patio ain't dry on 2/7/23Scottish Rite Auditorium - CollingswoodRating: 3 out of 5

Raul Malo was excellent. His vocals are second to none. Good set list included solo, Mavericks and covers. Patty was a bit of disappointment. Hard to understand what she was singing. Her stories about Bluebeard and Dubai immigrants were very strange. Her guitar playing was very good, however. Should have switched the line-up to have Raul close.

  • Great!

Both patty & Raul were great. Such beautiful voices. Acoustics were great and the theater was beautiful. I had never been there.

  • Wilbur Theater Boston

    by L. D. on 2/4/23Rating: 1 out of 5

As a longtime Patty Griffin fan, I was so disappointed with the show. I wish I had skipped this one. No old fan favorites and the show just dragged on and on. She is no longer able to sing on key and hit the notes. Her warmup act Raul Malo was terrific! Truly awful and expensive night for me!

  • Good concert, weird venue

by LM on 5/12/22The Walker Theatre - ChattanoogaRating: 4 out of 5

Always love a Patty concert! But the venue was strange. Felt like a high school auditorium. Staff were super nice and helpful, just seemed like a weird space. At the beginning the AV team forgot to turn off the background music for the opening act. Someone had to go tell them!

  • Patty Griffin

by PJ on 5/6/22Liberty Hall - LawrenceRating: 3 out of 5

I have been a long time fan of Patty's, but had never seen her live before. I recognize that artists have a lot of music to choose from to place on their play lists. However, I was pretty disappointed by this play list. I also was disappointed in her voice-she was flat @ times. Hopefully, I'll see her again when she is in better voice.

  • I've always wanted to see Patty Griffin

by FrankTheTank on 5/6/22The Walker Theatre - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

I've always wanted to see Patty Griffin, and I finally got the chance to. Patty's two-person show was amazing! It was her and Dave, her accompanying guitarist. Two see these two accomplished musicians play was such a pleasure. Words can't describe how beautifully they will overwhelm you with their artistry. I've always called Ms. Griffin a "Songbird". Her singing was beautiful, with the exception that either the soundperson wasn't on the ball or the speakers didn't perform well. Either way, it was difficult to clearly understand the words to her songs. That is in no way a reflection on Ms. Griffin. In summary, all I can say, is that I can't wait to see her again.

  • What a show!

by Cameron Lackey on 5/3/22The Walker Theatre - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! Patty always delivers a beautiful and heartfelt performance, but I have never been so close to her in all the shows I’ve attended. The tickets were reasonably priced, so I was pleasantly surprised when I realized how intimate the venue was and how close we were to the stage. The staff at the venue were a bit stuffy, and the bar could use better options, but overall, it was a great concert.

  • Throw us a bone!

    by JK1000 on 5/3/22The Walker Theatre - ChattanoogaRating: 2 out of 5

Most artists understand they need to play songs that are fan favorites at their shows. Patty doesn’t seem to hold to that view point. She might just be at the point where she has earned the right to do whatever she wants. If you are a long time Patty Griffin fan just know before you drive for hours and get a hotel, she is not playing her beloved songs at her shows. This was 10 minutes from our house but will probably be my last time getting a ticket for Patty.

  • Well worth the ticket

Great music. Available parking. Convienent snack bar. Solid sound system

  • Greatest experience

by TinaK on 1/23/22Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My friend/coworker had never been to a concert before so we thought this would be the perfect one to start her out on and boy it did not disappoint. The venue was so nice. It is smaller then most concert venues I have previously been to which gave it a more personal, intimate vibe. Everything was very clean and well maintained. I will definitely be looking forward to more shows to attend there. The opening act, Parker Millsap was spectacular. His accustom guitar and the tone of his voice made the lyrics resonate in your soul. Patty Griffin was equally spectacular, taking time in between songs to talk and story tell. It made you feel like you really knew this person.

  • As Expected and More

    by Murmur71 on 1/22/22Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Parker Milsap awesome! Patty was just as awesome, but know that with age comes voice issues at times. She sounds exceptional singing her most recents works, but she struggled a bit with her older catalogue. All in all, I will continue to see Patty at every chance. The venue speaks for itself. However, it was super cold with air blowing directly on patrons. Beware and maybe wear a coat!

  • Patty is the best

by LisaT on 1/22/22Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Patty Griffin never disappoints, her new projects are amazing. Great show.

  • Go Out While You're Remembered For The Good Years

    by M. K. on 1/22/22Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 2 out of 5

I have been a big Patty Griffin fan since Living With Ghosts. She sang like an angel! Unfortunately her battle with cancer has robbed her of that angelic voice. It was painfull to watch this show. She forgot words to her songs, had to stop one song and she only somewhat came into voice during her last three songs. I still love her but wished I would not have seen her during this tour. I will choose to remeber her for the Good Years and wish her the best.

  • Great experience!

First time at Paristown and the atmosphere, acoustics, and people were outstanding!

  • Patty Griffin / Parker Millsap

Patty Griffin put on a great show, playing many of her hits, chatting with the audience.

  • Patty is always awesome!

Patty Griffin sounded AMAZING! Her big voice filled up Paristown Hall sounding wonderful! Paristown is a great venue, and I did like the addition of having seats this show, that was a nice experience! I will be back, to a Patty show, as well as to Paristown!
