PAPADOSIO IN CONCERT:

Live electronica outfit Papadosio has become a festival favorite with their positive vibes, prog rock-meets-EDM sound, and endlessly creative live shows. The five-piece's jaw-dropping live manipulation of electronics and out-of-this-world stage designs make for a truly transformative concert experience, taking fans on a jam-filled journey that's as visually stunning as it is musically fascinating. The band's most impressive attribute, however, may be their ability to set a killer vibe -- their inclusive live shows promote a message of love and creativity, and engaging performances of songs like "Find Your Cloud" and "The Sum" always get tickets buyers on the same euphoric wave length. Fans of progressive electronic music, state-of-the-art visuals, and mind-expanding experiences will find plenty to love at Papadosio's unforgettable live shows.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Papadosio formed in the small creative community of Athens, OH in the mid-'00s. Singer/producer Anthony Thogmartin, drummer Mike Healy, bassist Rob McConnell, and synth/programmer brothers Billy and Sam Brouse began crafting a unique electronic sound based on technological innovation and experimentation. After several years of playing shows and building a fanbase, Papadosio made their recording debut with 2007's Magreenery. They followed up in 2009 with the critically acclaimed album Observations, a celebratory release that promoted a message of tolerance and humanity. Since then the band's legendary shows have been captured on numerous live albums released online, including performances from Red Rocks and the Chicago House of Blues. In 2014 they embarked on the Imaginal Cells Tour, delivering another round of mind-blowing performances that have ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming shows.

It's papadosio. Enough said. Their music is as sincere and righteous as the artists themselves. If you want to learn more about yourself listen to their music, embrace them in their calling and it'll help guide you to your own. You'll emerge a better person.

Best way to celebrate the solstice!

by NuggetLovins on 12/26/13Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

I danced with the entire crowd several times! This was sooo much fun! I am so glad that Papadosio brought in the workshops as well. It is good to have a band that doesn't just talk about change but is interested in supporting and facilitating the change.

The venue was perfect and sizable enough for the amount of people who attended the event. The staff was not rude, it wasn't over powered by security or event staff. For my first time, It was a pleasant experience.

    Papadosio is just awesome

by Daigler on 11/11/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

I'm obviously a fan to begin with, but Papadosio is just awesome. I have been on a Dosio binge lately, listening to their stuff over and over again. Their concert did not disappoint. Wish they played my 2 favorites--Method of Control and We Are Water--though. I will see them again soon, I hope.

    Did not meet my expectations

by Pcasa on 1/2/13The National - Richmond

These guys played an outstanding show October 12th, 2012 @ the Orange Peel in Asheville NC, NYE did not even come close. Very disappointed that I chose them over Lotus and dropped a lot of money in anticipation of another great show; this was not the case, these are two decisions I regret making. Show was sloppy; countdown began at 12:01 AM!!! Again, VERY disappointed. Hoping they will learn from this and get it together for future shows to come; I love these guys when they are on point.

    Dosio amazes me EVERY time.

by lindzi on 2/28/12Bluebird Nightclub - Bloomington

I go into every Papadosio show expecting to be awed. And not once have I been disappointed. The show at the Bluebird did not let my standards down one bit. The sound quality was a little bit slacking for Sam's mic from the beginning, but after everything was worked out the show was great. The guys were in sync (as always) and the crowd was feeding off of the band. I had an amazing time jamming out with my friends right in the front, as well as in the back with hula hoops. Papadosio puts on the best live performance I have seen YET, and I cannot wait until April when they come to The Vogue.

I unfortunately missed a great performance from $6 Suit, though I recommend them highly to anyone! Thank you Octopus Nebula for making a long journey out to Indy, we hope we could make you feel at home! There was no sitting down for this dance party. As always, Papadosio, Indy loves you. Please make us your home away from home and come back soon. So many smiling faces on a beautiful night with beautiful music and beautiful people. Thank you to the Vogue as well.
