  • Seating was not good

by DA on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 3 out of 5

The new Five Point center is nice but the $200 for the two seats that we paid for were not the best due to the way the amphitheater is set up. People kept coming in late and standing in front of us trying to figure out where their seats were. Thus, we could not see the concert and could not really get into it like we had hoped for the money we paid. Then, adults/kids were going up and down the metal steps constantly which was rather annoying and disturbing. The concert itself was very good and the conductor was really fantastic with his sense of humor. Overall, I would think twice about seeing a concert at Five Point for the money paid.

  • Queen Superb

by Dee on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent. A beautiful evening with a magnificent fireworks show. The conductor was amazing. Very entertaining! No table matching our tickets when we arrived. Same for a number of others.

  • Patriotic Concert

by Fred on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 4 out of 5

It was excellent overall. Loved the "Americana" music and the atmosphere as a whole. Music of Queen was very pedestrian (I wasn't really that familiar with it), but I guess that you have to include that stuff in order to sell tickets. Service anthems and fireworks were great.

  • Fantastic!

by Matheus on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

The orchestra was fantastic and very talented, fireworks really beautiful in the end. Really organized and polite staff too, enjoyed the experience the entire time.

  • Table Not There

by GS on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 4 out of 5

The venue did not have our assigned table and put is way in back near the exit. We had purchased very expensive tickets in the front row. Other than that, the concert was good.

  • Queen

    by Tom c on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was great, plenty of choices for food and drink. Music was great. The only issue we had is our table was move to the back as the map wasn't accurate. Our table was so far to the right you couldn't see anything. The crew notice this before we got there and moved our table about 10 rows back and more to the left. They need to review the seating chart.

  • Best Concert Ever

by HarleysDad on 8/24/21The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most fun we've had at a Pacific Symphony Orchestra film concert - even pre-Covid. Congratulations all!

  • Terrific family event

by Mike on 8/24/21The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful performance by the symphony. We were so impressed with the amazing musicians, the sound engineers, and the pure fun of watching the symphony hit every note, cue, and swell as my whole family watched Toy Story on the huge screen above the orchestra. We have seen one other symphony / film performance before - it was Star Wars and was equally as exciting. Looking forward to the next one.

  • Musical Eargasm

by MrsRamZ on 8/24/21The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

First off, if possible pit seats are the best. It was a little crowded because these are regular folding chairs zip tied together, but still overall worth the experience too see the orchestra in its prime. The musical sounds of Toy Story where an absolutely delightful and too see it orchestrated by a woman done so well. I will absolutely return too see another musical performance of my liking soon again.

  • Where do I start?

    by Mike G on 7/9/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 2 out of 5

First time at FivePoint and really disappointed. That's not an amphitheater, it's the world's largest collection of high school bleachers. As for the concert, I can't figure out whether to blame the accoustics or the sound mixer or both, but the singer's voice and piano overpowered the symphony and his own back up group - almost to a painfull level. And I realize that it wasn't the real Elton John but really - I was expecting more than Elton John night at the local karaoke bar. Maybe a little unfair because the singer's every flaw was mega-amplified. The play list was puzzling also - a few were played as expected but several notable for their absence - for example "I'm Still Standing" would have been perfect for a post Covid concert but was not played. The Symphony-alone performance was good as usual and the fireworks were great but I'll bet they would like a do-over on puttting this one together. It sure seemed like most of the attendees would.

  • Concert open, fun great music, BUT - -

    by M. F. on 7/7/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

The sound manager, great though he may be, had the level way too high for this mostly symphony oriented crowd. I needed earplugs and fingers over them just to survive up in the bleachers. Please folks, musicians and their musical friends value their hearing.

  • Entertaining and a Blast!šŸ’„

I had seen advertisements for this event but hesitated to buy tickets since I’m not paid during summer, then got an offer i couldn’t refuse, making it nearly free. I’ve missed live music SO much and i am very glad we attended. The Pacific Symphony and the solo singer were amazing! What a great tribute to our country. Then ā€œAlmost Eltonā€ā€”-WOW!!! I would love to attend an entire show where he is the headline act. Great voice, fabulous costumes, high Energy even for those of us wayyyyy up in the stands! My only regret is that he didn’t play long enough! I’ve never attended a show with live music during fireworks! The show in sky was right in front of us and was a beautiful ending to the night. I would attend this event again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time listening to Tchaikovsky classic being performed by the Pacific Philharmonic Orchestra. Clark St. Clair is just awesome. Bravo! Looking forward to more classical concert.

  • Excellent!

by bmewsical on 9/11/18The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

The Pacific Symphony is world class and Carl St. Clair is wonderful. The guest pianist was fabulous and it was a terrific concert ending with the 1812 and fireworks. So nice to have something like this now in OC rather than having to travel to the Hollywood Bowl. Thank you!!
