    Disappointing

by SeeKay on 8/24/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Although we enjoyed the actual production of Star Wars, the Empire Strikes Back, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. This was our first (and most probably our LAST) visit to Five Points. Parking was a a mess. Confusing directions and staff directing many cars converging at once. Parking sections were not clearly marked, so after the performance there were hundreds of us tapping our car alarms to find our cars. The entrance restrictions are ridiculous. I had a small bag but it wasn’t small enough, so once we got to the entrance we were turned back. Had to walk all the way back to the car to leave a small purse in the car. When we returned to the entrance we were once again turned away because we had a lap blanket. And once again, all the way back to the car. By this time we are angry and frustrated. Once inside the food line took an hour to order and receive our food. An HOUR! Nothing was prepared in advance so every person had to wait. And the prices were ridiculously expensive for a couple of burgers and some wine. The seating sections are not well marked and no one was around to help direct us to our seats. One person pointed to an area and said “you’re up in there”. Rows and seats are not well marked either. Seats have no cup holders so food and drinks had to be placed on the ground (gross,j and thy were so tightly spaced that everyone has to stand up to let anyone in or out. We were crammed in so tightly you can’t move or get comfortable. What a disappointing experience this was. Won’t go back.

    Five Points

by Ru on 8/24/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Awful venue. Port O Potties instead of real bathrooms. One route into the parking which was all backed up. One line only to get to through security to enter the venue so that too was all back up with a line of people circling the parking lot. Food trucks that took 35 minutes. Sound was not loud or crisp to enjoy the symphony. Metal risers for the rear seats so you hear lots of hard-soled shoes clacking the whole time you want to enjoy the symphony. Please go back to Pacific Amphitheater...

    Great show; inconsiderate attendees

by Moopy on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Symphony is top notch. No question. Timing and performance was incredible! The provided light sabers made for a very immersive experience and it was beautiful to see all the audience participation! So much fun!!! 😁 The family seated behind us that talked loudly through the ENTIRE film however were incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Why go out just to ruin everyone else’s good time? Do us all a favor and rent the film/stay HOME!

    Star Wars Empire Strikes Back

by Nick on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

While the symphony and the movie were GREAT the seats were absolutely horrible. The walk in from the parking lot was fine as was the directions to our seats. The seats were very hard and uncomfortable.

The Pacific Symphony Orchestra was great but…

    by N. D. on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The Pacific Symphony Orchestra sounded great and I give them 5 stars, but the venue needs a lot of improvement. Every time someone went to the porta potty, which was often, we could hear the doors slam shut. Also, if someone dropped a water bottle or something of the like, the sound of it hitting the aluminum bleachers was so loud! Granted we were way in the back of section 304, but the screen was very small for us. If you’re going to sell tickets for those back sections you need to invest in a much bigger screen. I felt like I was watching a motion picture on my phone. The last complaint I have…people directly behind us were talking so loud, I couldn’t even hear the movie. Perhaps a reminder to the audience about being courteous could have helped?

    Some improvements needed

by Kylo on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Since this venue is open air, orchestral sound suffered at times. hard to see orchestra from seats. Bleachers are very noisy too many people walking up and down interrupting experience. screen for movie was too small. The other two screens on left and right should be showing orchestra playing along side movie. The seating is too far

    Difficult to See

by RJG on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

We sat 2/3's up in the seats and to the left side. My 2-star review is based on the music being difficult to hear and an exceptionally small movie screen. The speakers seemed to be turned down low making the music difficult to hear. The screen was so small - it was like looking at a laptop 10' away. You could not see the faces of the actors on the screen. People around us were commenting on how disappointing the screen size was. Additionally it was breezy which make the movie screen wave. Interesting, there were 2 additional screens adjacent to the center screen which were not in operation. With such a small center screen, it would have been nice if the other 2 screens worked as well. This was definitely a very disappointing event to attend. While I gave a 2-star rating, I have to say that the event staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful.

    Fun family event but…

by Star Wars fan on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Fun family event but it should have started a bit earlier. Lots of people left before movie ended and fireworks due to the movie being long and concert didn’t start until much past 8pm. Giving away the mini lightsabers that could change to specific colors was a very nice detail, specially for kids. The orchestra was great as usual.

I am thankful there is this kind of shows which are stimulating for regular people, families and movie goers. I cannot say enough how exciting and beautiful experience with a movie which is a classic for anyone

Not the best place for a movie

by David on 8/23/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

It was like being at a football game, way to busy and loud for this type of event.

    A Fun Annual Event

    by J. T. on 7/11/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

I attended, for the second year in a row, the Pacific Symphony July 4 celebration. It was a fun night. It's so great to be entertained outside under the stars. The cover band/performers that the Symphony bring are fabulous. I highly recommend attending a concert at Five Points Amphitheater. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is plenty of good food and beverages.

    Not Great!

by JT on 7/10/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Sound system needed a lot of improvement. I was expected to hear mainly "Queen" music, but they only played half of the time, very disappointed!

4th of July with the Pacific Symphony

by Michele on 7/10/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

We loved the entire event from the tabletop seating, food and wine selection, patriotic music and Queen cover band to the fireworks and quick escape parking. Will definitely do it again!

    Fun experience

by Hobbester on 7/8/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The venue was nice, less hassle with parking since we parked by train station and took a little walk to the venue. Going in and coming out was a breeze compared to the nightmare at Hollywood Bowl. Not many food selections though but luckily we ate before going there. Not so impressed about letting people walking to their seats after the music started.

    Almost great

by Your nickname on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Went for the symphony. The first time i went to this venue the bathroom situation was atrocious. This time it was marginally better but still terrible. I don't understand how a few mobile toilets are supposed to help anyone. You can hear the loud sounds of people walking up and down the aluminium stairs and it's annoying. It's really too bad because the sound was great and the table was also a decent seat.

    Wonderful Evening

by Ron on 7/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The atmosphere, music, and fireworks were all terrific. The conductor, orchestra, and "Queen" lead singer were fantastic. It was a magnificent event.
