    Excellent concert!

by Buckeye6886 on 8/31/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

Overall great time! In my opinion, the band, at times, played over and much loader than the symphony. I actually went to hear the symphony play Pink Floyd's music. The band was good; however, I wish the symphony would have had more solo time.

    It was beyond Awesome!!!!

by JoeMamaMama on 8/29/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

Great idea to combine the symphonics of Pink Floyd with the Pacific Symphony. The Orchestra appeared unusually happy about this experience as well.

pink floyd, outdoors on a summer evening.....

by southernbellefromsocal on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

it doesn't get any better. i love when the symphony does "out of the box" stuff like this! last summer's sound track to "the black pearl" was awesome too. the opening act, young pianist from england, was pretty fantastic as well, & you don't usually come for the opening act! i'd come see her again. the tribute band couldn't have been more right on & the symphony added that extra layer that makes this music great. moody blues next summer???

Pink Floyd was the Best event of the series

by muunlitr on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

We loved every minute but thought the critic from the OCRegister didn't give enough credit to the outstanding singer of all the songs. We didn't get his name? He was wonderful! We equally enjoyed the mystical solo sung by Mary towards the end. Everything was beautifully presented.

    The pianist was the best!

by Rallytime on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

It was a different take on Pink Floyd with the instruments involved. My husband loves Pink Floyd and he'll go to anything with the music. I actually enjoyed this too.

Pink Floyd Dark Side of Moon

by DogofWar on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

Great performance by the band and the Pacific Symphony. Maybe would've liked to hear more of the symphony but still good.

    Good performance

by cal2009 on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

The orchestra could have been more prominent otherwise the performance of the Dark Side of the Moon was well done by the band. The extra songs before and after the Dark Side was performed were well received. With so many Pink Floyd songs to chose from just wished for more. The sound was good but could have been louder.

    Pink Floyd was amazing!

by LLFloyd on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

This concert was amazing. The tribute band was near perfect in recreating the sound of Pink Floyd. The Pacific Symphony really broadened the amazing sound with their addition of strings and acoustic instruments to compliment the electric and synthetic sounds played by the band. A real treat!

    Pink Floyd alive again

by Earleenr on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

What a great evening of memories it was, dampened only by the lead singer who didn't even know the words to the music! All other players were spot on and with the background of the symphony during Dark Side of the Moon, the experience met an eclectic desire for great music. The surprise "warm up" pianist was exquisite, bringing the early audience into the moment for both time with the rock band and the symphony. Having found her on Facebook, she was genuinely moved by the audience's appreciation. Great Find!!! I'd love to see/hear more of her. The Pacific Symphony continues to amaze with their flexibility, their ability to bring classical instruments into today to expand the repertoire of all ages.

The Pacific Symphony was awesome but ...

by CanRandyJackson on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

The Pacific Symphony was awesome but the Pink Floyd cover band was incredibly weak. The lead singer was horrible. When he wasn't singing it was great But as soon as he started singing he ruined it! It would've been 10 times better if it was only the Pacific Symphony!

Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with The Pacific Symphony was Amazing!!! Personally, I have just seen the last two “WALL” performances and “Forgot” How Great Pink Floyd's “Dark Side of the Moon” was. What a Great Album – What Great Songs!!! And with The Pacific Symphony it was Great!! A Special Thanks to The Pacific Symphony for “Blending” with Rock-N-Roll to show us all “Another Side” of the Symphony Orchestra.

Show was excellent. The tribute band musicians were 'spot on'! Also, the female pianist to open the show was great. Oh yes, and the Pacific Symphony was great too!

    Amazing performance

by mamadlp on 8/28/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

The music of Pink Floyd came to life with the Pacific Symphony! It sent chills down my spine every time the orchestra started to play and had the crescendo of the songs spot on. The conductor was animated and lively making it an awesome show.
