Only caught these two acts, but compared to the first year (skipped last year) this event is much improved (though they need a better and cheaper beer selection). MMJ appears to have plateaued, but they still rocked the socks off the crowd. Furthur - in the old Dead tradition - was at times pretty loose, but played an eclectic setlist and at times (see deadheadland or other for details) was on fire...also rocking the socks off the appreciative crowd. That said, crowd was pretty tame for a "Dead" show...though it could have been the long day or the relative sobriety of the crowd. No cheers during "the bus came by..." or other typically anthemic-crowd enthusiasm inducing moments"...but they did dance their booties off for most of the show. Of course Bobby had to flub big time on an epic Terrapin, but the old coot was in pretty good form overall. Bathroom lines were...long, food and beverages were expensive....recycling was obvious ( a ++), security was not overbearing, but very present on the outskirts...parking was a big ? We parked at the beach and enjoyed the walk back, though we'd already been on our feet for 6 hours.
