About

Chromeo, the funk-electronic DJ duo composed of David "Dave 1" Macklovitch and Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel, have been churning out catchy dancefloor additions since forming in 2002. Beginning as high school bandmates in Montreal, Canada, the pair combined their appreciation for ‘80s funk, pop and R&B with a mutual studio savvy that leaned more toward hip-hop production. Dave 1 and P-Thugg debuted as Chromeo on 2004’s She’s in Control featuring their first major single “Needy Girl,” followed by Fancy Footwork (2007) and Business Casual (2010). The duo’s 2014 album White Women pushed Chromeo into wider mainstream acclaim, debuting at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and boasting their single “Jealous (I Ain't with It)," which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Chromeo’s 2018 follow-up Head Over Heels added to the duo’s accolades with their first Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. In 2021, Chromeo showcased their vibrant onstage personas with their first concert album, Date Night: Chromeo Live!

Great time at the Salt Shed

by Cisco L on 10/25/23The Salt Shed - Chicago

The layout of the venue was great. Good seating area, prices were reasonable for beverages. Great sound and loved seeing Chromeo perform. Looking forward to my next visit to the Salt Shed. Recommended having Elderbrook if he returns to Chicago.

Again one best concert what I really enjoyed a lot!!!!

by Liivi on 10/24/23The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Good, happy, energetic music! I even introduced to my estonian friends overseas that band. Nice acustic. Very friendly audience. Especially now, when the world has gone crazy, we need such bands from different nationalities and cultures. Music always unites all people and makes them happy!

    Skip the opening act

by Cm on 10/22/23MTELUS - Montreal

I really liked the Chromeo show. However the first act was really bad and last for almost an hour. It was so long that I almost quit.

    Chromeo good, Everything Else Bad!

by rclvoice on 10/6/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

I have seen Chromeo a few times and they have always been stellar. I even saw them at this venue during their last tour and it was great. Not sure what was going on this night but the crowd was terrible. People were acting very strange and a fight broke out right behind where I was standing and I got punched in the process. No security to be found during the fight either. The sound mix was also terrible. I could hear people talking better than whatever Chromeo was playing. One of the worst concerts I have ever been to.

An amazing and engaging concert experience

by Tina on 10/6/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

I've seen Chromeo at least 2 dozen times now in my life and each time it just gets better and better. So much so that I brought my 4-year-old son (Tiny Funklord in training) to the show at Humphreys. Dave-1 and P-Thuggs' music is incredibly danceable, they take time to engage with the crowd, and they have an incredible stage setup. 10 out of 10 stars every time - would definitely see them again!

    Incredible!

by Poohbunker on 9/26/23The Depot - Salt Lake City

I gave my husband a hard time for liking this weird electro-funk band Chromeo. I didn’t feel like it was my thing. But he requested we go to their concert for his birthday. Chromeo’s concert was so awesome!! I LOVED it!! The lights and the music was a party. My husband now chuckles that he’s caught me listening to Chromeo on my own now. So great!
