  • Phenomenal. Simply sensational.

by Jim S. on 10/19/24Citizens House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal show!!! Seriously, a real treat. I LOVED it. Sensational musicians!!!! Grooving tunes!! Reminds me, in many ways, of a Stevie Wonder show…singing about “Love”, & “War”, etc. Real stuff that matters.

  • Oteil & Friends @ the Bellwether LA, Ca.

by Jack Straw on 9/15/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

As I scrolled through my social media an add for Oteil & Friends popped up. I opened it up for the details, $60.10 per ticket at a GA venue. I thought that sounds like a deal & a really good time. I researched the venue because I hadn’t heard of it. It sounded like an old ornate theater but turns out it’s rather new with a history of a dance club under another name. I forgot what the lower entry way bar tender told me what it was, the term strip club was also mentioned. The Bellwether was a great place to see a show. Parking was across the street in a gated lot for $15.00 The show started just about 8:30 PM Oteil came out seemingly a little sad to announce some unfortunate news. Melvin Seals wouldn’t be joining us tonight. I’m sure there were a few who may not of seen Melvin for quite awhile an we’re looking forward to seeing him tickle the keys, I know I fell in that category. Well the show went on and it was a very fun great sounding night. I did find myself returning to the bar more frequent than I intended but I hadn’t been out much this last year. Didn’t make it out to any sphere shows. The set list was good but I could’ve used one or two more Dead songs. That goes without saying. I would come out to see Otiel anytime his in town. The after lot party was fun too! 😉

  • Excellent venue and fabulous show!

by Kata on 9/15/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful time. Loved the venue-clean, shiny, new, perfect temperature, nice and friendly staff and bartenders. Incredible show. Great sound.

  • Oteil and Friends brings it for real

by Jim on 9/15/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Oteil and the rest of the band brought it Thursday night at the Bellweather. We missed Melvin Seals who, sadly, was out sick, so Jason Crosby did double duty handling both the keys and the electric fiddle solos. There were straight ahead, beautiful performances of Allman covers, with some Dead and JGB woven in. But the musicianship! This all star band creates astounding vibrational environments with mashups, and impressive re-interpretations of well-known material, delivered through fresh jamming. They also graced the set with several articulate and inspiring original songs. Lamar Williams Jr. provides the soul-funk and Steve Kimock’s son is a shining light on the drums. Can’t wait to see them again.

  • 🔥🔥🔥

by TJ Quinn on 9/15/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Bummer was Melvin was not feeling well and did not perform. And Oteil & Friends created a first set of a lifetime!!! The jams, song choices, and mash ups were truly mesmerizing. Friend of the Lithium Devil is for the ages. The crowd was high energy, with spinners and dance zones all around the perimeter. Catch this tour while you can.

  • A Fun Night at The Sound

by QueensDebo on 9/14/24The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Fantastic sound system. Oteil and Friends really entertained us. Excellent music, great musicians who all had a turn to shine. Melvin Seals is a delight to watch, Jason Crosby on violin and keyboards was superb. The other musicians as well as the singer Lamar were great. Oteil really put on a good show. Always enjoy seeing him from Allman Brothers - Dead collaborations.

  • Amazing show

by Dave on 9/14/24The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I’ve seen in years. All the musicians were incredible and great songs.

  • The spirit lives on!

by Dead Diegan on 9/14/24The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

Oteil and his incredible group of "friends"exceeded my expectations. Totally creative versions of Dead songs, and a throbbing version of Whipping Post.

  • Oteil & Friends at The Sound

by CK on 9/14/24The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

Oteil & Friends were amazing! It almost feels like you are just hanging out with them as they jam some great songs and have a great time doing it. Every musician in the group is excellent and full of love that they radiate to the crowd. The Sound is a new venue located at Del Mar Track/Fairgrounds. There is a lot to love about this venue. Great sound and layout and easy parking. They even had cups of water ready at the bar. One note: the parking is expensive.

This was an amazing show. I was blown away. They brought the house down and played a HOT show in. sweaty sauna!

  • Hot, Humid, Poor Sound Quality. Awful experience

by Brent on 9/8/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

Broke AC supposedly so sweating like crazy and unable to breath fresh hair with a bunch of hippies isn’t my idea of a good time. Music is muffled. Chunk of ceiling falling down nearly hit Oteil. What else is there to say?? No excuse for this. I’m sorry Oteil. Please come back to Seattle. Just not to the Neptune.

  • Oteil & Friends tear it up!!

by Gooney on 1/12/24Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I had never been to Revolution Live before and this was a great 1st experience. We went to both nights of Oteil & Friends and were treated to two shows featuring an eclectic, funky, rockin vibe that you just can't find often enough. Wish there were more live shows with Oteil & Friends all over the country!

  • Great show but too late

by Evil Allyson on 1/6/24Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Love, love Oteil. But starting at almost midnight is too late for us old deadheads. I was fine with the 10:30 show but assumed it would start around 11PM. We made it to 1:45AM; hated to miss the end. Great show.

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!

by Rust on 1/2/24Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

These guys blew the roof off revolution live! If you are a jam band fan, especially Jerry Garcia and the Dead, these guys are a must see!

  • Outstanding Musical Show Experience

by Laura Reiss on 1/1/24Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Oteil play many times before but this was something special. A night filled with so many different exciting sound’s filled the air and our souls. I watched people dance and sing as Otiel and friends entertained and obviously enjoyed themselves. Oteil’s smiles are abundant and contagious. One of my favorite things about him. The night took us away on a magical journey of musical adventure and excitement that I am forever grateful for. Is it time for another Oteil Burbridge show yet? I’m ready!!!

  • Revolution

by Buzzy on 12/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Oteils band is on fire! Saw them once again in Ft Lauderdale at Revolution with a packed house, everyone dancing and groovin! Must see this tremendous band!

  • Go see this! You will not be disappointed!!

by Becky on 9/29/23The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

This show was outstanding! I saw this line up (minus Duane Betts) in July and knew I needed to see them again! So much talent on one stage!! This show was completely different, but still as amazing as the first! I hope Oteil continues to bring his flare to these shows! I'm still unsure how he packed such a variety of genres in one show... and how about that Friend of the Devil/ Lithium mash up!?!? Thank you!!! 😁😁😁
