Everyone in our group really enjoyed the ballet. The dancers were high-quality, the show was well produced, accommodations were comfortable, temperature within the auditorium was just right. Would definitely return next year.!
I loved seeing the Nutcracker ballet for the second time. It was absolutely incredible!
The show was fantastic, better than my husband and I expected!!
The music, the dancers, the set, all were beautiful! My friend and I had a great evening at The Nutcracker. It was worth the extra money for the orchestra seats. We were 4 rows from the stage and it made it that much better!
We saw this performance in a small venue in Binghamton, NY last night. My 75-yo friend had never seen The Nutcracker ballet before so I treated her. I also took my 16-yo granddaughter. I had chosen this one to go to bc I didn’t want a local troupe, I wanted a more professional first-time experience for both my friend and granddaughter. Well, it seemed like the local troupe was performing anyway. I was a bit disappointed. However, I have seen the Nutcracker ballet a few times in the past. Not in huge venues but bigger than The Forum Theatre. I personally do not like The Nutcracker ballet much, so it would probably take a lot to impress me. The Arabian dance was awesome. The winter snow seen with many dancers on stage was great. The costumes and set were lovely. The performer who did a bit of a cirque routine was impressive. (I actually wanted to see more of that!!) My granddaughter really liked it. She had never been to a ballet before so she has nothing to compare it to. She loved the costumes. My friend was “meh” about it. But at least she got to see it. When my kids were young, we would go every year to see the Nutcracker ballet (in Norfolk, VA). After about 4 years, it became boring to me. We started to go see “A Christmas Carol” play at the little local theater instead. And that became our tradition for years until they moved away! Bottom line, kids will probably enjoy this. I’m not a super fan of ballet but can appreciate the performers’ skills.
These dancers are dedicated and beautiful souls! We enjoy ourselves every year!
It was the equivalent of a Middle School dance recital. Props falling, horrible costumes, elementary school kids holding hands and dancing in a circle. Should have been in a high school gym. So disappointing.
This was a wonderful production and highly recommended to see at least once in your life time!!!
This show was, in all ways, a professional performance, from the music, to the staging and props, costuming, but most especially, the performers. They were a collection of people from around the world who performed at the top of their craft. If you appreciate ballet, this is a good one.
