  • Wonderful dance show for families

by Box Office Babe on 4/8/25Florence Gould Theater at L'Alliance New York - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

NYTB produces wonderful ballets for kids but they are just as enjoyable for adults. The performances are only 1 hour long. A fantastic way to introduce kids to the world of dance. The characters are engaging and kids can meet them after the show if they purchase a subscription or add on they exclusive party, available after certain performances.

  • New York Theater ballet

by Ballerina on 12/4/24Kupferberg Center for the Arts - QueensRating: 4 out of 5

Pleasantly surprised to see Clara on point! Usually is a little girl not really doing much ballet. The beginning was too long, to theatrical a little boring. I know the tale had to be shorter but missed the important part where we can understand that all this was Clara’s dream. All the rest: Arabian dance, Chinese, Spanish etc were great. I hope I’m not hurting anybody. Keep dancing!!!

Every performer no matter age or gender or character performed in a beautiful and graceful manner. The audience was captivated at all times

  • Nice performance. Good for older kids

It was a really nice performance. One hour is just right. If you take little kids, maybe give them background so they can follow. We took a few little kids. The 4 year old girl would keep asking why they are not talking… older kids had fun and can appreciate the dances better.

  • Not the Cinderella we were expecting.

by susieflute on 3/8/14Florence Gould Hall at FIAF - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

This was a good production for children and an innovative way to introduce ballet to children as a performing art. The audience seemed to enjoy it. However, we were expecting an 'adult' performance as nowhere on the literature did it state that the performance was for children as far as we could see. As we were not familiar with the company, we were a bit surprised to find little girls running around in fancy dress and I wouldn't have booked it if I'd known. It was disappointing as we we spending a few days in New York and could have spent those dollars on something more to our taste. I would add that it was obvious that we weren't the only audience members who had been caught out.

So perfect for young children. Wonderful way to introduce the Fine Arts to children. Wished you still the Little Peoples Orchestra.
