Join show creator and original host, Joel Hodgson, and the world's greatest – and only – movie riffing robots, Tom Servo, Crow, and Gypsy, as they take you on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride through some of the cheesiest films ever made.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 has earned its place in history as one of the Top 100 TV Shows of all time and is currently a hit show on Netflix. Now you can sit in the same theater with your favorite characters and experience this comedy phenomenon in a universally-acclaimed LIVE event.
This is the last chance to see Joel as he celebrates his final live tour performing the unique comedic art form he created. The exhilarating, nonstop, rapid-fire hilarity is brimming with hundreds of jokes riffed on a "So-Bad-It's-Good" feature film, plus spirited sketches and songs that turn the stage into a circus-themed party.
I expected to laugh, but had no idea how funny this would be! My family and I all agree that we would see this again. Excellent show!
This was a great show! I actually attended with my significant other (big fan), though I had never watched the show before. I was a little worried at first that I was going to be bored since I wasn't familiar with the show and characters, but I had a great time! My only complaint is that it was sometimes hard to hear the audio of the movie and, at other times, it was a little hard to hear the audio of the actors/puppets. I think it would be nice if they'd include subtitles on the movie screen.
The actors/handlers, writers/thinkers, prop developers and everyone else making this possible, have really outdone themselves with this little gem! To experience MST3K, as a stage performance, was truly an amazing memory which will scar me for the rest of my life. I wouldn't recommend seeing No Retreat, No Surrender any other way! My girlfriend may never forgive me for the other night... but, if you're ever back in Fort Wayne, i'll (at least) be there! Thank you cast and crew!
Funny and just like I remember on TV. The only thing missing was, “PUSH THE BUTTON, FRANK” at the end. I was hoping for that.
Fantastic performance. Joel was amazing, as were the bots. Would love for RiffTrax team to come here next.
Good, family friendly show. Was really funny and well done. So glad we went.
It was a delight to finally see Joel Hodgson in person, and with a new group of talented recruits! They all seemed to be having a great time, as did I. The movie was cheesy, the jokes were terrific, and my face hurt from all the laughter abd smiles. Definitely recommend for anyone, mst3k fan or newbie.
It's hard to believe that this is a real movie that exists, but here we are. The riffing is great, and the host segments are a lot of fun, but what's really incredible is the thought of how many people had to say yes to getting this movie made when it was produced in 1960. The film begins with drunken Donald Pleasance being killed by a bear while a Nazi plastic surgeon looks on so he can steal the man's circus for...murder purposes?! This is a super weird movie, and it was great for MST3K Live. I already can't wait to see next year's live shows!
No Retreat, No Surrender was absolutely hilarious! Great riffing, fun sketches/host segments, and the movie selection was perfect for MST3K: this was an utterly bonkers 80s karate movie. A kid who's friends with the ghost of Bruce Lee (who doesn't look like Bruce Lee) wins a fight against Jean Claude Van Damme?! My favorite riff: "I miss the part of the movie that was about pool parties and ghost interactions." I'd highly recommend this show.
I really enjoyed this live show and Joel's last tour. This was also an early Birthday Gift for my Husband who had a great time and laughed a lot. When both spouses work full time it is nice just to get out and enjoy a goofy movie with hilarious commentary. Thanks to The Louisville Palace for bringing MST3K Live to Louisville and for allowing us to see Joel, Tom, Servo, Gypsy and the rest of the crew for an awesome night out!
Overall a great show. Only reason I’m rating this a four instead of a five is the conditions of the seats at the venue. The seats my brother and I had were broken and after intermission we moved because the seats were so uncomfortable.
MST3K has been a guilty pleasure of mine since I can remember. I missed an opportunity to see them live a while back and knew I couldn't miss it again. It was Joel's last tour and he went out with a bang! The gang was hilarious, they had a lot more dialogue during the "oh so terrible" movie. It baffles me how they can find these movies because they are so bad I'm surprised they made VHS or DVD's of them. Overall, I had great seats (5 rows from center stage), great performance, and I had a blast.
I grew up watching this show, so this live show meant a lot to me. It was very funny and entertaining. I easily spent over $one-hund-o at the gift shop without a care in the world.
From laughing so hard. My 13 and 10 year old kids loved it just as much. Great time.
First time at an MST3K show and it was fantastic! View from the front row was minorly neckbreaking but well worth it! Laughed through the whole thing. Venue was lovely and everything was on time.
Great to see Joel and the bots together one last time. Seats were great. Sound and film were projected just like on the show I remembered. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Great show and better venue than last year. Building was nice and you could hear very well.
My kids and I are fans of the show and had seen it before in a live setting so expected a fun evening again. Screen size was too small for this venue. Actors and puppets were not lit very well so you couldn’t see them in between the movie clip breaks. Despite a good try, in between clips the Puppet jokes often fell flat with the audience. You could hear a pin drop. Show at the Riverside last year was better.
Would have been 5 stars but it was hard at times to understand the live portion of the program.
Seeing the show live was very exciting! The bots were done very well.
