About

Everyone's favorite Scottish nanny is headed on tour in "a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers" (The Hollywood Reporter). Based on the beloved film and directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Mrs. Doubtfire tells the hysterical and heartfelt story of an out-of-work actor who will do anything for his kids. It's "the lovable, big-hearted musical comedy we need right now," raves the Chicago Tribune - one that proves we're better together.

  • A good story well portrayed by song and dance.

by Jack on 10/22/25Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I attended the show in order to see and hear a live performance. The song and dance routines were well performed and seemed to match the story line. The stage art and costumes were perfect. Craig Smith and Melissa Campbell Were outstanding. They were both untiring in their performances. The supporting cast added to the performance in a very positive way. The young actors, were flawless. The movie story was very involved, but Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick captured the story and presented it in pleasurable style. More could be written, but the entire performance was well received by all, as witnessed by the applause.

The play was so cute! We really enjoyed it. The songs were fun and everyone had a really good voice. I'm so glad we didn't miss out on it and if you get the chance to see it, I suggest you don't miss it either!

Hard to replace Robin Williams in your head if you’ve seen the movie.

The performers put on a spectacular show. They were well-rounded and play the roles to a tee. I plan to watch the movie again because I want more Mrs. Doubtfire. My daughter wants to go see the show again.

  • Very Enjoyable Musical

by SLS on 10/20/25Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

Mrs Doubtfire was a real surprise for me. I went into it with no expectations and I have not stopped talking about it. It was funny, had catchy music, great acting, and a really nice message at the end. It did not have a great Broadway run (had to close because of COVID shutdown and was never able to rebound afterwards) but I’m so happy I was able to see a touring production of it. Highly recommend! Loved it!

  • Mrs Doubtfire Amazing!

by Mlbc on 10/17/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

I was wondering how they were going to perform Mrs Doubtfire on stage. I was amazed! The main actor was unbelievable. I don’t know how he was able to be on stage so often and remember all his lines. It exceeded all my expectations. I loved it.

  • had a blast

The show was great, the modern updates were a nice touch. The costume photo booth up front was a blast.

  • Exhausting

by Leslie on 10/14/25Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The cast soldiered on through lines that were too long and delivered to fast to keep up. I hope the dance team was well paid as they covered multiple roles and long and involved sets. Loud and fast was the primary line delivery. I’m degrees in theater and music and have taught it and I truly wanted to enjoy. Instead I was simply grateful when the barrage of sounds was over. That is not a critique of the cast. However they were given a poor instrument to reflect their talents.

  • Absolutely hilarious

by Alyssa on 10/8/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

From the seats we were in row K seats 306-309, the railing was in the way so everyone's heads were cut off in the show. Other than that, it was absolutely hilarious!! Crying laughing throughout the entire show. Would definitely go see again!

by Giggle Girl on 10/5/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 3 out of 5

We were not as thrilled as we thought we'd be. A couple people in our group nodded off a few times and some of the singing & songs will hopefully improve with each performance.

Mrs. Doubtfire - a generally sad situation/story was presented in the most entertaining way with lots of humor and amazing singing and dancing to make it fun and light hearted. I thoroughly enjoyed it! You have to be brave to take on Robin Williams role in this story and it was done magnificently!
